📣 Today, ACPA is joining advocates from across the country on Capitol Hill for the National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasias' (NFED) Advocacy Day! 🌟 We urged legislators to become Original Co-Sponsors of the Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act (ELSA), pending its reintroduction to the 118th Congress.

ELSA, a bipartisan initiative, is led by Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Joni Ernst (R-IA) and Representatives Anna Eshoo (D-CA-16) and Drew Ferguson (R-GA-3). In the 117th Congress, ELSA gained strong support, passing the House with a 310-110 vote.

ELSA mandates coverage for essential treatments for congenital anomalies or birth defects, ensuring necessary medical care isn't wrongfully denied as cosmetic. Our members know the financial and emotional burdens these treatments carry. ELSA aims to close these loopholes and improve countless lives.
