Ships of Glass, Inc.
Replicas of sailing vessels, past & present, are created using bottles and glasses for the sails. Providing memories to those that sail!
Welcome to Ships of Glass! Based in Panama City Beach, Florida we are a small business owned by Don & Kathy Hardy.
Asking for prayers. We are getting an online prayer circle going. My love to everyone who reads this. Let's pray for each other and all of those affected by hurricane Helene & incoming Milton because prayers are needed right now. I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to post this status for one hour, to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. Do it for all of us, for nobody is immune. I hope to see this on the walls of my family and friends. I did it for someone else, and you can too ! 💜🙏🏻💜
I copied & posted to my wall.
Done!! Prayers ongoing.
Nothing worse than losing a friend because they didn’t think they had anyone to talk to, so.....Even in my own struggles. Phone is always on, door is always open and a drink can easily be poured. Doing a real friend check. Support each other. I need eight people posting the message not sharing it, to show you’re always there when someone needs to talk. I have an idea of who will say done.
Yesterday, Donald B. Hardy and I attended the services of a gentleman I have known since I was nine years old. Charlie Maxwell Hicks passed away on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 25th at the age of 87. He was buried at the Alabama National Cemetery, in Montevallo with full military honors and a celebration of life was held at the Valley View Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. Charlie was always an avid Alabama fan - Roll Tide!
Charlie and his wife, Sam, have been involved in our lives since he and our dad were stationed together at a radar site, RAF Wattisham in England. Charlie and my dad were air traffic controllers throughout their careers with the Air Force. After retirement, Charlie and Sam were always there for the good times and the sad, when my dad, sister and mother passed away, for Lynn Anstedt Blaszczak and Denise Anstedt Morse's weddings and so many other times they are innumerable to count. Needless to say, my heart is hurting right now.
That's one thing about being a military brat, you make lifelong friendships because that is your family away from family.
I love you Charlie and will see you again! God Bless You! ❤❤
Don and I will be at the Fall Fling at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach tomorrow from nine until three. If you’re out and about, come by and see us!
Don and I are at the Tall Ships Pensacola event today until 6 o’clock. We will be here Saturday and Sunday from 10 until six and praying for the kind of weather we have today! The weather is absolutely gorgeous especially after yesterday‘s rain, wind, hail, and tornadoes! Lots of people touring the ships that are here. And not too many booths are here but those that are are not a clean client. If you’re in the area, we’d love to see you come by our booth.
Just a reminder!
Hey All! Don and I have been accepted into the Tall Ships® Pensacola event that is happening April 28 - 30, 2023. The last time we were at this location, a storm rolled in on Saturday night and we had to pull our display as we didn't want broken glass all over the Pier! Below is the information about the event.
"The Tall Ships® Pensacola festival returns to the Pensacola Port April 27-30, 2023. Tour the majestic ships, go sailing on a Tall Ship , or just enjoy the waterfront views and festival atmosphere which includes music, food, street performers, festival marketplace and more in a family-friendly, all ages event.
Visiting Ships include Nao Trinidad, Pride of Baltimore II, Ernestina-Morrissey, When and If and Glenn L. Swetman. As part of the 2023 TALL SHIPS® PENSACOLA festival, many of the visiting ships also offer special sail away experiences during their stay. These opportunities put you onboard the vessel and out in the Gulf of Mexico, where you can interact with the crew and see first-hand how these incredible ships operate in the water. Spaces are limited!"
The website for the event is https://tallshipspensacola.org/. We are looking forward to seeing you. We will have have all five ships that are part of the fleet plus many others that we have in stock.
If there is specific ship that you would like, let me know and we may be able to have it ready for you at the show. Please email me at [email protected] or call or text (813) 732-6917. Fair Winds!
