Join the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) on Saturday, September 28 at the Paramount Sheriffโs Station (15001 Paramount Blvd) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m for a hands-on training session focused on essential emergency skills like Disaster Preparation, Medical Aid, Fire Safety and Search & Rescue.
Participants will receive lunch, a CERT certificate, and essential disaster prep equipment.

! On August 6, the Youth Activities League (YAL) had the opportunity to spend the afternoon at Spane Park celebrating National Night Out with LASD and Public Safety staff.
The youth were taught the importance of community-building and establishing neighborhood-police partnerships as part of a healthy community support system. They had a blast engaging with SAO Deputy Rodriguez and Deputy Dare and exploring the inner workings of a patrol vehicle and traffic unit motorcycle.
