NE Arenas and Fine Grading LLC

Here are a couple of arenas with GGT Footing installed. With the silica sand from Ohio unavailable, Oakland Materials & Transport Inc. has a sand that is a great replacement for that silica sand and works well with GGT!!

It has been a while since I have posted. Here are some of the projects from this year ( that I remembered to snap some pictures of). Right now work is scheduled out until mid summer of 2025- if the weather cooperates, so if you need arena work done next year, contact me now!

Here was a cool project. I graded the Bourbon County High School football field to get it ready for new turf. This was a special project for me as my son plays on the football team there and helped grade the field he plays on. I’ll post a short video of him in the comments.

120’x220’ outdoor at Concord Equestrian Center at Red Maple Farm ! A custom sand mix designed by Mark and I, combined with GGT makes for a nice footing! A huge thank you to Oakland Materials & Transport Inc. for supplying materials and mixing the sand for us!

I have not posted in a while, but here are some pictures of some new arena builds, as well as some regrading of existing arenas from the last couple of months. Last week we had the opportunity to work along side Rosser Painting of Lexington! Here is a fun project we completed. We added a ditch and a bank for a cross country course. Couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out!

Laser graded a beautiful 120x240’ arena today.

Haven’t posted in a while, but here is a 100’x250’ arena we just finished up. A huge THANK YOU to Oakland Materials & Transport Inc. for supplying the materials and footing for this arena. This footing is the Arenablend that they custom mix and makes a perfect blend for any arena or round pen.

After being off work for several months due a total knee reconstruction, I have been back at it for a little over a month. Here are some pictures of some projects that I have completed. A couple arenas, round pens, manure bin, and driveways. Also, a huge thank you to Oakland Materials & Transport Inc. for supplying the materials for these projects!

Grading and Building Riding Arenas - NE Arenas and Fine Grading Arena Builder - Lexington, Kentucky

Another project we worked on in the last couple weeks. We added a new footing to some hot walkers. The old mulch and wood chips were removed by the farm, and we added the river sand for them.

Here is an arena we finished up last week. I forgot the before pictures, but here are some after and during. Thank you to Oakland Materials & Transport Inc.for supplying the materials!

The previous wash stall did not drain, so we busted out the concrete, poured now concrete, and installed a new drain and some rubber mats. A huge thank you to Jeff and Travis for their hard work and help with this project! Check out the comments for a video of it with water on it!

Finished up a 80x200 arena. I love the way it sits behind the barn. The footing is a mix of polytrack blend and Arenablend sand. Thank you to Oakland Materials & Transport Inc. for supplying the aggregate and footing materials!

This arena was built by someone who put rock down and topped with class I sand for the footing. All of the rock ended up mixing with the sand over time. So, we used what was there to correct having too much of a slope and also extending it from a 80’x120’ to a 115’x120’. Put down a crushed limestone base and some Arenablend sand for footing.
