Trying my hand at a little relief carving. Went for some cherry leaves on this cherry platter. Happy with the first attempt, but not satisfied with current skill set. Pretty fun stuff! Want to learn a lot more, and Sammy Long has introduced me to the craft.

These are all natural wood; no added coloring or anything. We love what God made, and we are thankful that He allows us to steward it and show it off through craftsmanship.

Built this table for a good friend in 2016. It was my first big project for someone other than my family. Lots of hours and learning curves involved!
It hit me differently when I got a text from him this past Thursday: “About to have our Thanksgiving meal over your handiwork, my friend.”
And that’s why I love making pieces like this. It’s a place for family fellowship.
