Scarn has returned!
Inspired by one of our favorite television shows and Sauvage by Christian Dior. We have been receiving requests for this scent for years.  If you're unfamiliar, it's a fresh, spicy, woodsy scent with notes of pepper, bergamot, lavender, vetiver, geranium, patchouli, cedar, and labdanum.
**Based on customer feedback, we've made a slight change to the fragrance to accentuate the pepper note making closer to the Sauvage scent that it's inspired by.

Did you see we launched Glastonbury, Port-au-Prince, Varen and Stirling Green? The first three are all in the mutton tallow base, and all four are very “green” scents. 😄

We plan on keeping these around at least until summer. This is the first time we’ve been able to make the Port-au-Prince in a few years thanks to the high price of vetiver essential oil, so I’m really happy we were finally able to do this one again.

If you sent us an email through the contact form between Thursday the 25th through Sunday the 28th at about 4 PM and haven't gotten a response, my sincere apologies. Due to a DMARC issue, messages sent through the contact form or to the info@stirlingsoap email address disappeared into the nether and we were unable to retrieve them, despite Mandy's best efforts.

This is something that I should have caught faster, but I was just so happy to be what I thought was caught up with customer service emails early on Friday that it never dawned on me that something was up. It wasn't until yesterday afternoon that I peered into my email account just to get an idea of what I had to do that I noticed that there wasn't a single contact form email or customer question. For about two seconds I smiled and thought that I was about to have a laid back Monday, until that inner voice quipped "Hey, when's the last time you went 4 hours without a customer email, much less 4 days?"

It's back up and working now, but if you have sent me an email in the past 4 days, please re-send with my sincere apologies.

“You and me, buddy, we’re friends to the end.” For years I said this phrase daily to Yadi, our Brittany dog (pictured on the labels with Paige - our Black Lab and his partner in crime). We adopted him in early 2009 from American Brittany Rescue, and Paige a day later from a rescue organization in Tucson. His goofy energy and unwavering loyalty helped me through some of the most difficult times in my life. Dogs are wonderful creatures and their companionship a gift.

While neither Yadi or Paige are still with us, they were absolutely our friends to the end. To remember them, we are doing this scent release, which is based on the popular Baccarat Rouge 540 fragrance. From each sale of every Friends to the End product (both in-store and online), 25% of the proceeds will go to two rescue organizations. Half of the money raised will go to the
American Brittany Rescue, Inc, as a thank you for my best good friend Yadi. The other half will go to
FurGet Me Not, a local rescue organization here in Paris, Arkansas that works tirelessly to combat the serious issue of abandoned animals that plagues this area and find homes for them all.

I know Black Friday is coming up, and holiday shopping will be starting soon for quite a few, so please don’t feel the need to rush out and get this because of fear of missing out. I plan to keep this scent in stock through the end of the year, and it will likely make a return at some point, at least every other year.

Hard to believe it's been 5 years since we last did it, but that was long enough for my cache of Bonaparte to run out, so it will be making a return for Black Friday this year. The same rules apply as 5 years ago. If you've never tried it before, don't do it now. When you email me asking for a refund because you think it smells like someone ate a bunch of oranges and curry and then puked it into a porta-john, I'm just going to delete your email and go about my day.

PS. For you military types who have been downrange, it's pronounced "cash" and not "kashay." Get with it, lieutenant.

Against my better judgement, I agreed to do Bonaparte for the first time in over three years for Black Friday this year. I had my first shave with it today. I love it. It's always been one of my favorite scents.

That said, you will likely hate it. Don't buy it. Seriously, unless you've tried it before and know you love it, steer clear. The reason we stopped making it was the emails and requests for refunds we got over the scent. Don't buy it. Just don't.

That said, if you were one of those who asked us to bring it back, thanks and I hope you still enjoy it. I'm glad to finally be able to replace my soap and aftershave in the scent. If you haven't tried it before and you do end up buying it, you forfeit all rights to email me to angrily tell me that it smells like your grandmother's farts or like fruity toejam. It's your fault for buying it.

Do not buy it.
