It used to take 2 to 3 people to push in a vehicle and in the winter was always a little more challenging. If you can imagine pushing a vehicle in -20 and slipping on the ice which in turn causes you to rake your frozen ear on the top of the door when you are steering it. Some words tend to slip out but that is all in the past.

This was a pretty severe wheel bearing failure. There were no rollers left in the bearing causing excessive play.

This is the new manifold and it can be seen that the VCM vanes move on both sides.The purpose of these valves is to cause the air flow to tumble as it enters the engine and help in atomization of the fuel - air mixture.

This video shows the VCM shaft being moved by hand but only one bank of the VCM valves on this V-6 intake are moving. This is indicating a mechanical fault in the manifold.

This video shows data on the VCM ( Variable Charge Motion ) valve's in the intake manifold of a 2011 Hyundia Sante Fe. The computer was setting a code for a fault in the system but when we look at the data it shows the sensor does see movement of the valve shaft when commanded. The next video shows what was found when the intake plenum was removed.

This is a on the vehicle brake lathe on its final cut. Some brake rotors are captivated and do not allow easy removal for machine work. This lathe allows us to machine the rotors while they are still installed.

I had to cut some repair brackets to weld in on a rooftop A/C unit for one of the city buses. Thought some might like to see a plasma cutter in operation.

This is the inside of a Variable Geometry Turbocharger. As you can see as the unison ring is rotated the vanes move accordingly. The unison ring on this unit had seized to the housing and is cracked at the actuator hole.
