All the t’s have been crossed, signatures validated and we are in GO mode and in OPERATION DREAM mode! William “Zak” Huffman will be printed as your candidate this November for Downtown Parkersburg District 5 City Council. While obviously every race is important, I would ask you to consider what is most important to you on a city level? This week I had the opportunity to speak to so many residents who expressed frustrations with not feeling seen or heard, major transient concerns, and issues with long overdue basic infrastructure needs such as sidewalks and streets.

DO YOU WANT TO SEE CHANGE IN DOWNTOWN + DISTRICT 5?!

I want you to know, if you hire me for 4 years, I will work endlessly on leaving this city better than the day I get elected! As a relatively younger candidate, I come with energy and persistence but also have a proven track record of knowing how to navigate the uniqueness of Downtown Parkersburg District 5!

I feel I am the most suited candidate for this position because I know my level of passion and commitment to the task at hand. Passion prevails almost anytime!

Over the last 15 years I've worked Downtown with other local businesses, residents, program directors and nonprofits. I am excited to be a voice to each resident in District 5, including our historic districts which are bustling with opportunity. My unique skillset is well suited for this position, as I have proven success in the business district, specifically downtown. Not only can we match the strides of what we see in neighboring towns - think Charleston, Huntington, Marietta - we can EXCEED those benchmarks. I have so many ideas on ways we can make Parkersburg a more vibrant, thriving place to live, and I am eager to hear the vision you all hold as well!
