THOMAS PAINE DAY, JUNE 8, 2024
Thomas Paine, America’s finest political writer and philosopher, author of Common Sense, The Age of Reason and Rights of Man, died June 8, 1809 in New York City at the age of 72.
In celebration of his life and works: The Thomas Paine National Historical Association (TPNHA) and the Huguenot & New Rochelle Historical Association are pleased to announce a celebration to recognize June 8, 2024 as “Thomas Paine Day.” All are welcome to join us in the festivities.
Activities will take place 3:00 PM EDT through 8:00 PM EDT at the Thomas Paine Memorial Building (pictured below). 983 North Avenue, New Rochelle, New York 10804
Exhibits depicting Paine’s life and legacy will be on display. Elected officials and others (to be announced) will deliver speeches and tributes honoring Paine. Join us for live music and summertime refreshments and learn about Thomas Paine, America’s greatest advocate for freedom, justice and truth. For more information contact: [email protected]

Ian will perform excerpts from the play, talk about his upcoming European tour, why he's doing a tour that so far isn't quite paying for itself - which explains the need to do a fundraiser. Even if you've already seen the play -or maybe especially if you have, I hope that you can come and take this opportunity to schmooze and support the play.
