“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” - 2 Timothy 4:7
For 40 years, Mr. John Rouse has undoubtedly and positively influenced the lives of everyone around him while serving at Maranatha. Mr. Rouse’s unwavering dedication and faithfulness to Christian education ensured that all were seen, known, and transformed. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude for your joy, kindness, and love. Though we will miss you dearly, we pray for God to richly bless this season of retirement for you, Kay, and your family. As you mentioned, “It’s not goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later.” ❤️💙

Our teachers are the heart of the vision and mission here at Maranatha. As we reflect on Teachers Appreciation Week, we are grateful for all our teachers who go above and beyond, shaping hearts and minds by being examples of Christ’s love. Luxi Ning ‘24 is thankful for Mrs. Arcos being unwaveringly supportive of her, inside and outside the classroom, all with a cheerful attitude. What teacher has positively influenced you? Would you consider supporting the Maranatha Fund so that we can continue to retain and attract the talented faculty members who make our mission happen? Visit maranathahighschool.org/donate for more information on how you can contribute. Your gift can be doubled (up to $75,000) thanks to generous matching gifts we’ve received! #changedliveschanginglives
At the core of Maranatha are our dedicated teachers who do much more than educate—they mentor, guide, and shape our students into the men and women God has called them to be. We asked current Seniors to identify the teachers who’ve positively influenced their growth as a student. In the upcoming weeks, we’ll share their stories, illustrating the transformational impact a distinctive Christian education has on the lives of young people. Meet Mia. Mia has been profoundly influenced by her teacher, Dr. Marie Sutton. She appreciates not only Dr. Sutton’s dedication to teaching Biology with excellence but also her continuous support, which has strengthened Mia’s self-belief. Would you consider supporting the Maranatha Fund so that we can continue to retain and attract the talented faculty members who make our mission happen? Is there a Maranatha teacher who positively influenced you or your child’s life? Visit maranathahighschool.org/donate for more information on how you can contribute. #changedliveschanginglives
