It is with the heaviest of hearts, and due to circumstances outside our control, that we announce the permanent closure of Just Float. These past 7 years have been filled with incredible memories, unforgettable experiences, and above all, the support of our amazing community. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you for being part of this extraordinary journey. 💙

We deeply believe in the healing power of floating, and it has been our greatest pleasure to provide you with a space for relaxation, self-reflection, and inner peace. As we bid farewell, we encourage you to continue prioritizing your well-being. Remember, numerous resources are available to support you on your ongoing quest for balance and serenity. 🌟

We'll treasure the connections we've made and the moments shared at Just Float. We wish you all the best in your continued pursuit of wellness and personal growth. May your paths be filled with tranquility, and may you find peace wherever life takes you. Farewell, dear friends! 🌈

Relax! It's important. Going hard and piling things and activities on top of every single moment will leave you burnt out.

You need to slow down and breathe out. It's all part of the cycle.

07/18/2023

We tend to carry around everything that's ever happened to us, and after a while that can be too much to carry!

Give yourself the time to unpack all that - whether that be be journaling, talking to someone, floating, meditating, or whatever else helps you.

Find the relief you need in the float cabin.

If you live with chronic pain, you don't have to rely on medication alone. Floating may help you in the same way it's helped thousands of others.

💦 reduce inflammation
💦 reduce pain
💦 reduce lactic acid
💦 increase serotonin
💦 increase feelings of serenity

We're not saying float therapy is a replacement for pain relief prescriptions, but it might be a great complement to your care practice. Check with your doctor for any medical concerns, and schedule a float to see if it can help you!

Deciding what to eat each day can be overwhelming! Adding some prepped meals to your fridge or freezer can really help during those times where you don't even have the mental energy to cook a healthy meal.

Some easy things to prep are salads (and add the dressing later so it doesn't get soggy), grain bowls, casseroles, overnight oats, or burritos.

🌙 Some guests find that they're deeply relaxed and ready for sleep, so late evening floats might be best (or early morning for night shift workers).

🌞 Yet others feel energized and ready to take on the world, so mornings might be best.

You'll be able to see how your mind and body react so you can find what works best for you as you continue to develop your float practice.

07/09/2023

There's no need to do anything special when you come in to float.

07/08/2023

No one is going to book your next float appointment for you. You have to make the time for your own self care.

We'll be here when you're ready.

Jotting down a to-do list first thing in the morning can help get all those jumbled ideas out of your brain and onto paper, where they seem more manageable and doable.

Sometimes a task seems so daunting that we keep putting it off, only to realize the task itself is easy and our mental roadblocks were the only thing standing in our way. Write it down, take care of it, cross it off your list, and move on.

Wishing you a happy, and safe Independence Day!

We can help you on the literal sense, and doing so usually helps you in the figurative sense.

Sometimes our guests ask if they can wear a swim cap when they come in to float. Short answer? Sure, but....

The long answer:
They work a bit differently compared to wearing them when swimming. Most of the time, in a pool, you're in motion, so water just glides right on by. When you're floating though, you're typically STILL, so there's a good chance salt water will seep in around the seal, which may cause discomfort/tickling, and it might still get saltwater on the hair or cause hair dye to leak out. They also detract from the whole "sensory deprivation" aspect since it's pretty noticeable when you have a giant stretchy thing on your head.

You can bring your own (clean and free from pool chemicals and shampoo/soaps) when you come in.

Vegetables add fiber to your meal, and when consumed early in the meal prior to eating a higher carbohydrate dish, they can slow down the rise of available glucose in your bloodstream leaving you feeling satisfied longer, and preventing the up and down rollercoaster of that insulin spike that leaves you feeling lethargic by mid-morning.

Once thought to be a condition solely affecting returning combat veterans, PTSD is now being diagnosed in individuals who have been victims of violent crimes or experienced catastrophic events. The trauma and intense anxiety that comes with PTSD is an enduring burden that weighs heavily on the sufferer, leaving them in a constant state of anguish.

We care about all those who suffer from PTSD and are happy to help.

Here's a little trick to help you make the most of your next float session.

🌊 Imagine waves are gently flowing over you from head to toe.
🌊 Imagine that each wave takes with it some tension that you're holding, starting with your forehead and face, and focusing on each body part as the waves move on.

Me, anytime someone is talking about trying floating.

06/23/2023

Starting your day with a fresh glass of water is a step toward giving your body what it needs to support you throughout the rest of your day.

06/21/2023

What are you looking forward to most this happy summer season?

06/20/2023

The simple answer is: yes! Treat floating on your period the same way you would treat going to a public swimming pool on your period.

Since floating offers such great relief for the body, floating while you're experiencing cramps can be very soothing and helpful for a body going through its monthly cycle.

Warm wishes on Father’s Day to all the dads out there!

Do you have a daily gratitude practice? It can be as simple as writing down three things you're grateful for every morning. Try this for a week and see how infusing gratitude into your daily life makes you feel!

06/16/2023

Instead of jumping out of bed and running to the first thing on your list, take a breath and work with your body to gently greet the day.

Bonus points for doing your morning stretch outside in the fresh morning sun!

The only connection that really matters: between your mind and you.

06/11/2023

There is an incredible amount of sensory input you have to deal with every single day - even right now as you scroll through your feed!

Come see us soon to give your mind a rest, yes?

Unplug. Reset. Chill out. Start over. Take a breath. Disconnect.

Good mornings start with good nights. 💤

Having a consistent time to go to sleep and to wake up supports your body's circadian rhythm, and promotes the restoration your body needs. Rather than using your phone as an alarm clock, use an old-school alarm. It reduces the temptation to check email or start scrolling in the morning!

Help Dad make self-care a priority and give him the care and attention they deserve, with a float session!

We have gift certificates available at the center or online that would make the perfect Father's Day gift.

While it's certainly not a cure-all (nothing is), the practice of float therapy can be superbly beneficial and effective in reducing pain in the body.

The float solution provides a safe space to reduce muscle tension and pain without any effort on your part. Floating can reduce inflammation in the body, which is a leading cause of many ailments and diseases.

Feeling better IS attainable and we are here to help!
