If you are ever in Pasadena, CA and need a recommendation on what to have for lunch or dinner, I seriously recommend Tokyo Chicken on the corner of Colorado and Marengo. I’m not big on chicken but this is my second time coming in three weeks. The dipping sauces are so good too. They are currently having a BOGO on their 6 or 12 piece combos. Perfect for those on a tight budget. AND if that wasn’t a deal, they are offering a second BOGO for another visit within a month (this one is of equal or lesser value) when you sign up for their loyalty program. The promotion just started so there may be a few hiccups but trust me when I say it’s worth it. Please be patient with them.

Day two of pampering the wonderful staff.

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you again to the PTA at KL Carver Elementary for allowing me the honor of treating your teachers and staff with a little relaxation.

For those that don’t know, Wednesdays I work at a retirement community. Today, I arrived a little later than usual and had to park all the way up in the boonies. This is the sign that I walked past. I’ve seen deer and coyotes. But I pray I never run into a bear again!

Slower than usual Sunday. Delicious recommendation by my lovely friend .in.glaze I typically am not a Thai Tea fan but this is so good.

In November, I am Walking 50 miles in 3 days for a good cause in honor of my friend. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

This year, I am participating in Challenge Walk MS: Southern California 2024. The National MS Society's vision is a world free of MS. The Society mobilizes people and resources so that everyone affected by MS can live their best lives as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.

Please meet my sweet friend Mayra Huicochea. I have known her since just after my son was born. She is one of the most positive people I know. She’s incredibly sweet and a Warrior. This November, I will be walking 50 miles in 3 days to raise awareness about MS. It affects people differently and I know several people who live with this disease, including my kids’ dad. I did this Walk 20 years ago and I felt very moved by my friend’s journey to do it again in her honor to continue to raise awareness and funds for research and support for the individual living with MS and their family. Good morning and Happy Sunday!
For those who do not receive my emails or have not opened it yet, it’s happening!
I have found a beautiful little space I’ll be sharing. (Thanks to a loyal client!)
It’s still in Pasadena. Days and times are still being ironed out, but as they are, I will post them here since they will likely vary from week to week. Those still on my schedule from before shall remain as is (unless that day is unavailable for use)! Thank you again for your love, support, prayers and patience!

Our hard work is coming to life! Been a wonderful process working with amazing fellow parents.

New space!!

I have (with the help of one of you!) found a space that a beautiful soul has allowed me to share with her. As of now I am still ironing out the days and times that work best for both of us, but I will continue to keep you posted. Thank you so much for your love, support and words of encouragement! I honestly don't know what I would do without you!!!!

I love how God and his glorious Universe send me reminders at just the right time. While it was difficult to temporarily close my physical space, things have transpired that lets me know that it was necessary. Reminding me that I need to continue to trust that inner voice that nudges me to embrace change because in the end, I’m going where I’m meant to be at the perfect time. Thank you a million times infinity to all of you who have cheered me on and supported me through the years! I look forward to updating you as I find that right space

This could not have been more appropriate to see first thing this morning. I had to make a very difficult decision last week. For those that don’t already know, I will be temporarily closing my physical business location at the end of the month. Financially it is just not possible for now. However, I have continued to pray every waking moment for strength and guidance. I know the decision I’ve made, is the right one as the weight has lifted and things have been falling into place and I feel that calmness. I’ve learned to see the Blessings God has placed in front of me that lead me to where I am meant to be (even if it’s not exactly the direction I personally would have chosen because change can be scary.) I’ve learned to trust my intuition. I know greater things are coming and cannot wait to see what God has in store for me. 🙏♥️

My dearest loyal clients, family and friends,

It is with a very heavy heart that I must announce the temporary closure of my physical business location. After much consideration, financially it just is not worth my continuing in the Salon Orchid space in the capacity of which has been changed. Cost there has gone up and I simply cannot raise my prices anymore than I am charging now. Generating new business there has been non existent despite my efforts. My last day is January 28, 2024.
I am actively looking for a new space but until that happens, I cannot spend money that simply is not coming in. I will however, continue to offer *in-home sessions (to commence more actively in February). Those already on the schedule for this month will remain.

Scheduled Salon days of operation this final month are as follows.
1/11, 1/12, 1/13, 1/14
1/25, 1/26, 1/27, 1/28
Online booking available including the weekends.

Online gift card purchase has been disabled. Anyone who has received an electronic gift card will be contacted by me directly via the email provided at time of purchase to coordinate a session. Unfortunately at this time I am unable to offer refunds.

Stay tuned, because as I mentioned I feel this is just a temporary setback. I plan on coming back. In the meantime, if you feel so inclined to leave a review on my Yelp or Google page, it would be most helpful and very much appreciated. Thank you to those who have already done so.

*In home session will only be offered in 60 or 90 minute increments (with the exception of a Pamper Me Party where 30 minutes are requested and minimum 4 guest are scheduled). Cost per session will be that of in office with a required non refundable $30 travel fee due at time of booking. Must have easy access parking for unloading and loading of equipment. Changes to in home sessions must be made 48 hours in advance. Failure to do so forfeits deposit and a new deposit may be required. In-home session preferred method of payment is cash, Zelle or Venmo.
