MICHELLE'S STORY: In honor of Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Awareness Week, I wanted to shed light on the realities of being diagnosed with cancer at a young age and some of the unique challenges the AYA cancer community face on the other side of cancer. Even though I might seem like your average person on the outside today, the truth is, battling breast cancer in my 20s has left me with a lot to unpack. It’s been 4 years, but I’m still navigating through the baggage it left behind. Sending all my love to my fellow AYA cancer fighters and thrivers.
