Living Beauty Cancer Foundation
educating, uplifting, and empowering women living with cancer through community & sisterhood, resources, and wellness programs
The Living Beauty Cancer Foundation's mission is to educate, uplift, and empower women with cancer by providing them opportunities to explore wellness and healing modalities while developing a sense of community with other women along the same path. The Living Beauty Cancer Foundation believes that empathy, compassion, and sensitivity to the human condition are what first, above all else, allow us
On July 13th, Living Beauty hosted our annual Summer Sisterhood event! Over 50 Living
Beauties gathered at Board Chair Erin Gershik’s house to spend time together, share a meal and swim in the pool! Building a community of support is extremely vital when it comes to battling feelings of isolation and depression that can arise while living with cancer.
Summer Sisterhood allows women to spend time with one another sharing stories, advice and uplifting one another while enjoying a day for themselves. A huge thank you to Erin for
opening her beautiful home for this wonderful event!
Last Saturday, 20 Living Beauties came together for an exciting day retreat and experience at HumanAeon in Long Beach with Caitlyn Ference-Saunders!
Together they experienced various wellness activities designed to cultivate well-being, vitality, and elevated states. Activities included gentle movement with a yoga class to help liberate the body, breathwork to help release emotion and become in tune with the mind, and Contrast Therapy, which involved a cold plunge and a trip to the sauna to help supercharge physical and mental health.
🛍️ Transform your closet for a cause! Donate your gently used luxury and contemporary designer shoes, handbags, clothing, and jewelry to support women whose lives have been changed by cancer.
We are collecting donations for our Closets for a Cause event in October. Donations will be accepted now through September 15th, 2024, and will be used in our Closets for a Cause Resale event or donated directly to the women with cancer we serve. Proceeds from the event will help provide wellness programs and support services to the almost 1,800 women with cancer who seek our services.

📍 Day Retreat at Human Aeon with Breathe with Vee
On June 24, 2024, Women's Strike Day, we at Living Beauty uplift and support:
• All women’s rights over their own bodies
• Access for all women to the highest levels of healthcare
• A woman’s right to live her life without fear of prejudice or discrimination
• A woman’s privacy over her own life
• Equality for ALL women
• Women’s voices being heard, respected, and honored
We are proud to represent women across the country, not just on June 24, but every day, celebrating their strength, resilience, and hope.
Today, 22 Living Beauties are in Oceanside, California, for the Soul Rejuvenation Retreat. This retreat holds even more significance to everyone at LBCF as we believe rest and community are also forms of resistance. Over the next three days, Living Beauties will experience transformation and connection through various activities and classes, immersed in serene surroundings—a perfect recipe for healing with community.

With our Summer Sisterhood Celebration around the corner, we wanted to share some of our favorite moments from our annual Spring Brunch in April! 🌷
Women with a cancer diagnosis often find it difficult to seek out community and support. For many Living Beauties, this was their first event with us. Throughout the day, we saw women smiling, laughing, embracing each other's presence, and planning when they would see each other next. 💖
From heartfelt conversations to new friendships blossoming, the Spring Brunch was a testament to the strength and resilience of our community. 🌼 We’re so excited to continue building these connections and creating more cherished memories at our upcoming Summer Sisterhood Celebration!
The power of sisterhood: someone who’s there when you need them, understands you deeply, and shares every emotion wholeheartedly. 💖

This year's Spring Brunch Sisterhood was hosted by Living Beauty Martha Rivera at her lovely home. It was a great time to get together, break bread, and create the community that Living Beauty is uniquely known for. We also continued the tradition of a flower exchange, an optional activity for Living Beauties to partake in, by bringing a flower or potted plant to gift to another sister Living Beauty.
We had such a wonderful time at our Spring Luncheon with Valentino. 🌷 A heartfelt thanks to all of our donors and sponsors. This year's event raised over $650,000 in support of our mission to educate, uplift, and empower women with cancer.
🤎 The luncheon was a beautiful afternoon filled with resilience, hope, and compassion. From the Valentino Pop-Up Boutique to the moving speech by Living Beauty, Lissa Jordon, and the overwhelming generosity during our silent auction, the afternoon showcased the love of the Living Beauty community.

🩷 On this special day, we recognize and honor the strength, resilience, and love of every mother, including those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
To the children who remember their mothers’ cancer experience, your love and memories are a beautiful tribute to her enduring spirit. Your unwavering support and cherished memories keep her alive in your hearts every single day.
To the single mothers living with cancer, your strength and courage inspire us all. Despite the challenges you may face, your love for your children shines brightly, guiding them through even the darkest of days.
To the women going through a cancer diagnosis who may be unable to become mothers themselves, your strength and grace in the face of adversity are a testament to the depth of a mother’s love. Your nurturing spirit and resilience touch the lives of those around you in profound ways.
💐 Today, we stand in solidarity with every woman who has been impacted by cancer. We honor your experiences, your sacrifices, and your unwavering love. You are not alone, and your courage serves as a beacon of hope for us all.
To all the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, and mother figures, Happy Mother’s Day. May your day be filled with love, joy, and cherished moments with your loved ones.

Sometimes we need a day in community with women who understand. Sometimes being immersed in a beautiful setting, surrounded by loving souls, moving our bodies, and nourishing our minds is what it takes to remind us of Who We Are. We are Here. We are Connected. Take this journey to your Self.
We love these tips from anjscancerjourney/IG x Brighter Magazine! 🩵
Sometimes, we bottle up everything we are going through so that we can be "okay" and survive the day. But by doing so, we may become unable to see exactly just how much we've actually bottled up and have yet to process.
Living Beauties, we hope that this serves as a reminder to take a deep breath and do something today that pours love into your heart.
💬 How do you cope with this feeling of survivor's guilt? Let's talk about it. ⬇️
✨ The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, and we're getting together both in-person and online.
