Last year had the honor to work with the committee throughout the preparation process before the big day on . Being born and raised in this area, I was thrilled to be catering for such an amazing event. Even more so that I got to march in the parade with . I got to work on multiple events and got a small glimpse of the amount of work that goes into organizing such an event. Who here misses our ??? It’s been a couple years that we’ve made them and I have an itch to bring them back permanently as a weekend special. This Friday and Saturday we will be testing it out and hope to see it become a reoccurring thing!!! They will come in both platter and ultimate platter offering. The platter will be $24.95 with 3 pieces , bed of rice, pita bread and choice of two sides. Our ultimate platter will be $54.95 and come with a mini nachos, salad, rice, pita bread and choice of . Supply will be limited to a first come first served basis and if it works out we can hopefully add it every weekend.

Alrighty… since it seems like it is a resounding yes I am happy to announce we will be selling this weekend!! But here’s the story. This weekend, all proceeds will be donated to an amazing person that I have gotten to know very well over the past few years. is a loving and kind local SGV’er who has a endless love of rescuing the cutest of critters around. She has actually rescued some of the little babies that I have found (yes that last photo is from a baby opossum that made its way into !!!) and I absolutely adore her care and love. If you don’t know Cleo I’m sure someone you know does. She is the first person people call in the local community pages and comes highly recommended by so many. Well she’s throwing a fundraiser (she pays for so many things such as supplies, vet visits and the long term care of some the animals… to name a few) to help fund the cost of all these expenses. I couldn’t be happier to donate to such a beautiful cause being an obsessed animal lover myself. I will have three trays of baklava made for this weekend and hope it sells out!! There’s not much I can say about my team at but I am forever grateful for what they have done for me and my restaurant. This team has adopted the idea that Hummus Labs isn’t just a place to get food, but a family. Every plate that we serve is meant to copy the love of the kitchen my mom had taught me to appreciate. I call them the because that is what they are. Today when I showed up they had surprised me with a for my and was so taken aback from how amazing that was. Whenever you are there know that they represent me more than I had ever expected and am so proud of them. Missing is our last employee Ismael who I wish could have been there In the morning.

Which protein you choosing??? These catering platters just hit differently when they order the whole lineup. Our has become a huge fan favorite as we use grade salmon and cook it to a wonderful medium temperature, but can you really go wrong with any of them?? . The clarity of the entire 365 days lets you gauge your and . No one goes through the year without the ups and downs, and we had so many of those at this year. As with many , we felt the pain consumers are enduring with the cost of living skyrocketing. It’s not easy but in the end, if we stand strong, we can help each other make it through. I am grateful to be heading into #2024 which will celebrate our 4th year anniversary. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would still be cooking here. I am so thankful for not jsut my amazing supporters but also my staff, who have stood by me for so long and my family. These cornerstones of my life have allowed me to stay optimistic and look to the new year. Please be safe tonight and ring in the new year strong. Coming back from recently there was one item that stuck out. I absolutely loved the item and wanted to replicate it. So I got busy in and started playing around with different marinations.
