A good tip for maintaining your glasses lenses is to avoid using tissue or toilet paper to clean them. Paper can scratch your lenses because it is made of wood, whereas cloth is smooth and thus less likely to scratch your investment.

Clear or 20/20 vision occurs when light passes through the cornea and focuses precisely on the retina. The condition known as "presbyopia" or "farsightedness" occurs when the light focuses behind rather than on the retina.
Glaucoma can harm your eye’s optic nerve. As a result, you can experience a loss in vision or blindness. Early detection and treatment can help from severe loss in vision. For this reason, it’s important to get regular eye examinations.
Visual field testing is done with the opposite eye covered to avoid any errors. The patient is asked to look straight ahead to test the peripheral vision. In addition, the test can detect signs of macular degeneration, glaucoma, as well as other conditions.

The Kinetic Goldman field is a visual test that uses a mobile stimulus that is moved by the examiner. A single test light is moved towards the central vision from the peripheral vision until the patient detects it.
Remember, some lines of work are more dangerous to your eye health than others. If you work with chemicals or around sparks from machinery or welding, be sure to wear protective eyewear.
