In a DIY world , there’s often a misconception about eyelash extensions and cluster lashes .

Cluster also known as tab lashes are usually sold in beauty supply stores and already contain a small amount of glue . Now they are less cost efficient and takes roughly less than 30 minutes to apply , they are not eyelash extensions. This is not a post to bash but to help educate the people being misled that they are the same thing and paying hundreds of dollars.

Eyelash Tabbing: Usually last 3 to 5 days
Eyelash Extensions : Can last up to 2-3 weeks

Eyelash Tabbing: Less maintenance and less cost
Eyelash Extensions: Requires refills every 2-3 weeks & more costly

Eyelash Tabbing : heavier clusters that may damage the natural lashes
Eyelash Extensions: thin, synthetic fibers or strands that mimic individual lashes . Composed of silk, mink, or synthetic fibers weighting lighter density

The wind is a little high in Houston so I’ve been seeing alot of girls in hoodies. But lashes + hoodies = a vibe

This one might step on a few toes but here’s my take

Every luxury brand ( Dior, Gucci, Chanel) accepts card payments whether that’s debit or credit. Now I understand wanting to accept cash only , but our customers are real adults who may not have cash on hand . As a business owner , it costs to be the boss… and trust me it is not easy. My clients gains the luxury of receiving a 5 star experience while not stressing of always having to cash on hand .

Should be never hurt or feel heavy . Eyelash extensions are customized to each individual. When a proper set of eyelash extensions are applied you should not be able to feel a thing.

You should not be able to see glue ( adhesive ) or any thickness on the lash line . Using too much glue will cause premature hair loss due to your hair follicles being clogged and multiple hairs stuck together. Where the extensions are adhered to the natural eyelash it should be a seamless application with no sign of glue.

You should be able brush through your eyelash extensions. When lash extensions are applied properly to one natural eyelash at a time, you should be able to glide seamlessly through your lash extensions with a mascara wand.

The bond between a lash tech & her clients is top tier.

The purpose of eyelash extensions is to safely apply lash extensions to your natural eyelashes. Now while everyone may want different results , the integrity of your natural eyelash extensions should never be compromised.

Here are a few red flags to look out for 🚩

• Eyelash extensions should not be a painful service.

• Excessive burning/ bloodshot red eyes

• Heavy extensions that won’t allow you to brush through your lashes / clumping

If God rested on the 7th day so should you

Sundays are Monday for church ( worship), food, and relaxation. What do you like to do on Sundays ?

But in all seriousness, lash refills should take place every 2-3 weeks depending on your lifestyle . Thing such as working out, makeup , health, and natural lash can count affect your refill. Refills should have 50-60% of extensions attached. If you can count how many lashes you have left , you need a refill 🫠🥰🫶🏾
