The live auction will be at around 10am on Saturday, but this online auction allows everyone to participate from home.

As many of you know, Strokers has become a lovely desert. Today we will be closed while everything gets progressively worse and then gets buttoned back up.

Friday is a mystery but we anticipate everything being buttoned up but (shocker) there’s no guarantee so we’ll keep you posted.
WE WILL BE CLOSED SUNDAY AND MONDAY so our awesome staff can enjoy Labor Day Weekend and we should be back to good old Strokers on Tuesday!

That aside, the players who showed up were FUN FIRST! The music was blaring, the latinos were yelling (I've grown to love this), there was dancing, laughing,
Drinking (see below), and some phenomenal playing.
Thank you Ruben Soto for bringing out the best people, the best friends, and reminding us that it's more important to enjoy what we do with the people we want to share it with.
We're going to miss you, buddy. And we love you just as much as you loved ALL of us yesterday 😂.

So our neighbor had a plumbing issue.
Repairs involve digging into the floor at Strokers Billiards Pelham, forcing us to shut down tables 6 and 7 through Monday.
As a result, I'm going to have to shorten tomorrow's races to 4 on 9 ball, 3 on 10 ball on the B side.
I'll bang out the auction quickly and get the sets started by 10:15. It's STRONGLY recommended that all players NOT BE LATER THAN 10AM!!!
The pile of dirt is just a bonus!!!

Gene Prunty is top flight. Instantly a friend, he's just one of those guys you want to be around. He puts in the work, is a straight shooter on every level, and runs his ships tight.
For those of us that are fortunate enough to KNOW HIM know him, he's a fu***ng hero.
A fighter, inspirational is an understatement. I've yet to see something he does wrong, like parenting for example.
Connor Prunty, his son and my bartender, is a gem. Old soul, talented and eager to please.
"Luck of the Irish" takes on a whole new dimension with these two. Thank you each for ALL you do!!

Nobody really knows what his fargo really is, but the "cheap sets" formats always lure us in.

A few days in Maine in the Summer is NEVER a bad thing. This Summer is no different except.....
Kathryn Brooks-Miller and I zipped up to Forest City Billiards to shoot around and check out Tyson's new spot. And I'll tell ya, there is no doubt he's a pool player first. The equipment is top flight, the vibe is super-chill (sound familiar?), the staff is welcoming and accommodating, and Tyson is clearly an owner who cares about players. Smart guy with a mad-cool haircut.
I sense a VERY good future for this spot, as it's being run by a player who gets it. Great job by all, guys. Mrs. Strokers tested, Capital City Billiards approved!

Someone made an appearance at Monday's NINE TIME! We thought he was just a mythical creature but it turns out he's real, and as glorious as his legend!
And, I heard through the grapevine he'll be making several more visits as the newest member of Sunday APA's Stroke or Choke!
