School is back in session next week. Drivers should be prepared to SLOW DOWN ✋ and STOP 🛑 for school buses picking up or dropping off students.

Pay attention to the flashing stop sign on the side of each school bus. All vehicles MUST come to a complete stop unless they are separated by a median. Violators will be fined.

We know it's a little early - but we wanted to remind you. 👇
🚌 Students head back to school on August 12! Let's keep our kids safe by knowing when to STOP for school buses.
📚 Two Lanes: Vehicles traveling in both directions MUST STOP.
🚦 Multi-Lane Paved Road: Vehicles traveling in both directions MUST STOP.
🚧 Divided Highway: If there's a 5ft unpaved median, a raised median, or any physical barrier, vehicles traveling in the same direction as the bus MUST STOP. Vehicles traveling in the opposite direction should proceed with caution.
🔔 Remember, our future is riding on these buses. Watch out for them!

In observance of Juneteenth, schools and administrative offices are closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. The District will resume operation on Thursday, June 20.

On Thursday, April 25, BCPS celebrates Day with the theme ! This District-approved field trip encourages real-world learning.

Students will be granted an excused absence if they submit a completed field trip permission form by April 18.

For additional information, including the field trip permission form, parents and guardians can contact their child’s school directly.
