IBC Offshore

IBC Offshore is seeking a shop assistant who is a hard worker and eager to learn. We are a marine sales and service business, so experience with boats and related systems is a plus. In this position you will work alongside an experienced marine technician on outboard motor service & repair, fiberglass repair, full boat detailing (compound/buffing/waxing), and other marine related activities. You will also be responsible for general shop cleaning and upkeep. Experience in outboard service, fiberglass, and/or detailing is preferred but we will consider training the right candidate who is eager, willing and able to learn.

IBC Offshore is seeking a year-round, full time experienced marine mechanic specializing in Mercury, Honda, and Yamaha outboard motors. Inboard and race sterndrive experience is a plus as is an overall understanding of complete boat systems and electrical systems.

IBC is a full-service facility meaning we take care of our customers boats bow to stern, mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, fiberglass, paint and repair.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in the marine industry, be comfortable working with or without supervision and able to perform on-site service calls periodically.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Basic maintenance and repairs of boats and boat systems, including electrical and water systems
• Routine test, repair and service of outboard motors and lower units
• Computer Diagnostics
• Multi-point inspections, troubleshooting and identification of issues; repair, replace, remove and install vessel components
• Documentation of work performed on each unit, using job cards
• Self-starter, willing to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects.

Pay is commensurate with experience.
