Got this photo from Bruce with this message:
“New bulbs in cleaned ceiling fixtures in entrance vestibules. Let the light shine!”
Love it.
Happy Reformation Day!
Psalms sing out sorrow and celebration and so much more. And Sunday we had a service full of them! It was a joyous musical offering, and this video's just a sample. For the full Psalm Sunday, check out:

In the midst of a time of hateful words - it's good to hear loving truth.
So here you go - in case you need it.
Got talent?
(You know you do - even if it's not 'performing' talent!)
Like talent?
(It's great to see what people can do!)
This Sunday (Oct. 20) at 3 pm, we're showcasing the talents of our church family - from singing to sewing, from painting to piano - and we'll have some very talented snacks!
Pennington Presbyterian, in Upper Titus (performances) and the Narthex (showcase).
Come share your talent - or share a seat in the audience - for a fun afternoon!
This year's stewardship campaign has provided great video snapshots of the many places where PPC reaches out to the community. This week brought us heartwarming words from one of our Nursery School parents, Emily Hawkins. Hope it brings joy to you today!

We kid, of course - but this Sunday (Oct. 13) is Pledge Sunday! Your pledge helps us determine how we can serve our church family, our community, and our world in the year ahead. Bring your pledge to Sunday worship - or beat the rush! - and visit pennpres.org/pledge to pledge online. Your prayerful consideration is greatly appreciated.
We're perfectly pleased to participate in this project: the Pennington Presbyterian Purple Pantry!
Alliteration aside, this bright and cheery cabinet will sit at the front of our courtyard. holding food 24/7 for our community when there is an immediate need. Thanks to Chris & Sandy LaCasse for setting it up.
And as it says on the sides, "Give what you can. Take what you need."
We've started our stewardship campaign, and so grateful to Suzanne Borgos for sharing these heartwarming words. Hope it brings joy to you today!

Don't you love it when you get truth from Jesus AND Dr. Seuss?
From Pastor Nancy's sermon "Dr. Seuss Was Right" this past Sunday.
Here's a link to the whole service - the sermon starts at about 25:25

People DO ask about our lost and found...
Sometimes the Time With Children is just as good for adults. Anyone else need a reminder? (I may have...)
God does great exterior decorating.

Always love to share these moments - Sam and Phil played his lovely arrangement of "The Gift of Love" in worship on Sunday - may it bring you joy!
Rally Day is THIS SUNDAY!
Education Hour resumes at 9:00 a.m., and the Blessing of the Backpacks (and more) is during worship starting at 10:15 a.m. And if you're reading this, that means you are welcome - to bring a bag to bless, or bring yourself.
May Labor Day bring you rest that sustains.
Just a reminder in the busy weekend ahead - take a moment and breathe. And pray too!
A little bad weather doesn't stop a good time! Thanks to everyone for making our VBS Community Potluck Picnic a great time indoors.
In the midst of a roller coaster of summer temperatures, it's good to remember God's blessings in all seasons.
Look for the helpers. And when you can, be a helper.
We need more volunteers this week! Please sign up to help! Not only will you be helping your community, it’s a great way to meet some terrific people! FYI: Teens 15 and older can volunteer on their own. Under 15 can volunteer with an adult!

This was just a lovely story - about VBS, a boy with a simple but complicated question, and a beautiful answer. Enjoy.
