In the funeral profession, a celebrant is a non-clergy professional that conducts formal memorials or celebration of life services. They are dedicated to conduct meaningful services that honor and remember a life lived. They can do so without linking to religious affiliation or beliefs, or include the deceased beliefs as requested. The message of their service includes unique sharing of how the deceased lived their life, their personality and values, and even memories from family and friends. Not only do they perform the funeral service, they actually plan and oversee all funeral proceedings. A funeral celebrant is there to help you decide on any and all details as you are arranging the funeral.

Is Cremation the right choice for you? Consider these when making a decision:
1) Cremation opens up more options, not less. When you choose cremation, you can still choose service and celebration of life options. You get to decide how cremated remains are dispersed: scattering, urn placement, burial and more.
2) Cremation is a permanent decision. It’s best to think through this decision, and be sure it discuss it with your loved ones.
3) Some religions and denominations have different views on cremation as a final disposition. If a religious funeral is a priority for you, make sure you know your religion’s stance on cremation.
4) Cremation is still a relatively new choice and therefore concerns arise regarding respect of the body and respect for cremated remains. It’s important to note that only the highest standards exist for cremation, just like burial.

The VA only permits graphics on government-furnished headstones or markers that are approved emblems of belief, and the symbols are rendered as simple inscriptions without sculptural relief or coloring other than black. Generally the VA adds a new symbol a few months after receiving a petition from a faith group. To learn more about what faiths are listed, give us a call at 856-665-0150 and we can explore the options.

Hospice care is the model of high-quality, compassionate care that helps patients and families live as fully as possible. We think Patch Adams said it best, "Our job is improving the quality of life, not just delaying death." Has a hospice worker helped a loved one? Let us know how they helped improve quality of life.

Although not all veterans grieve in the same way, sometimes the unique conflict situation veterans face and their inability to take time off to grieve the loss of a fellow service member, frequently brings on specific instances of survivor guilt and traumatic grief. Survivor guilt can be very intense for veterans, in fact it is most common among veterans diagnosed with Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Traumatic grief occurs when a loss is sudden, violent, and/or completely unexpected. This kind of grieving can also extend into physical pain, mental anxiety, and stress disorders. There are numerous resources available from family, friends, and organizations who stand ready to offer assistance. To learn more about veteran offerings, contact us at your convenience.

Such an inspiring message❤️

WHEN PARENTS GET OLD ...
Let them grow old with the same love that they let you grow ... let them speak and tell repeated stories with the same patience and interest that they heard yours as a child ... let them overcome, like so many times when they let you win ... let them enjoy their friends just as they let you … let them enjoy the talks with their grandchildren, because they see you in them ... let them enjoy living among the objects that have accompanied them for a long time, because they suffer when they feel that you tear pieces of this life away ... let them be wrong, like so many times you have been wrong and they didn’t embarrass you by correcting you ...
LET THEM LIVE and try to make them happy the last stretch of the path they have left to go; give them your hand, just like they gave you their hand when you started your path!
(“Honor your mother and father and your days shall be long upon the earth”.)

They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear

Immediate family members should be allowed to sit at the front in order to receive the folded American flag after the flag-folding honor is carried out. Furthermore, anyone seated at the grave site should stay seated throughout the entire service.
