Treating hyperpigmentation on skin of color can take more time than those who do not have melanin rich skin because we cannot push the skin as much or as fast, it takes time and patience. You can and will do more harm than good when you push the skin too quickly or do too aggressive of treatments.

Purging is a common reaction when you introduce new active ingredients into your skincare routine.

These active acids boost cell turnover, which can bring acne to the surface. Typically, these blemishes have been forming under the skin for up to 90 days.

While this phase is temporary, purging can be discouraging and might tempt you to stop using your new products. However, it’s actually a positive sign that the product is working to accelerate cell turnover, unclog pores, and address underlying issues.

Remember, patience is essential. Purging usually subsides after a few weeks, paving the way for clearer, healthier skin.

Don’t play the dangerous game of waiting as long as you can before you restock your favorite skin care goodies! You should get every penny worth but when it finally does run out, make sure the next one is on hand ready to go!

Increases Collagen and Elastin:
Chemical peels, especially medium to deep peels like TCA (trichloroacetic acid) can stimulate collagen and elastin production in the deeper layers of the skin.

Minimizes Fine Lines and Wrinkles:
