And it's a glorious day for him (and all us Bayou Chico Cats)! 🐾 Soooo, Jelly deserves another highlighting mention...

Several months ago, our docile, big boy stopped eating. A team member took him to the vet & for the following 3 months, she fostered him while he received treatments for inflammed gums. His gums responded well to a dental cleaning and medication.

Fast foward through those 3 months... a very lucky family met Jellyfish online and submitted an adoption application. Today, Jelly is headed to Georgia!

It's bittersweet... Saying goodbye to our sweet, swisher-tail friend but, on the other hand, knowing he is going to his forever home where he will spend his days inside on the couch.
Atta Boy Jelly... You will be missed!

He was up to "no good" this morning. He's usually quite shy but he was a bit sneaky as he crept up behind Fin. Crab is known to sneak up & steal the other's food but he had something else in mind today. 🙀🐾

Meet one of our very special Bayou Chico cats, Jellyfish. When he showed up in our colony, he was already ear tipped and was a little shy, but definitely not feral. Jelly would follow us around everywhere we went. He soon won all of our hearts. Fast forward about a year and we noticed he was not eating as much and losing a little weight. A very kind volunteer of the rescue took him in and got him checked out. Jelly received a nice teeth cleaning and some antibiotics and steroids for his little red gums. Jelly is eating and ready for his forever home. Jelly loves to be inside with his people. He would also love a nice screened porch, so he can get some fresh air. He gets along very well with other cats and doesn’t bother anyone. He is such a big special boy and deserves a wonderful home to live out the rest of his years in. We think jelly is about 5-6 years old. Please if you have it in your heart for a very good boy contact us to have a meet and greet.

Meet Cedar...
A special TNVR rescue for us. We found her in sore condition; her eye was in urgent need for medical attention. She eluded our trap time after time. The persistence of one of our trappers paid off.
We immediately took her to Warrington Veterinary Clinic. Cedar's eye could not be saved but she received the needed surgery for it (not to mention a spay too) 😻.

Xrays have been taken twice & no sign of skeletal issues or problems. Lungs are clear. His head tilt is attributed to his ear infection. It's possible that the tilt may get better but time will tell. He still has labored breathing due to a respiratory infection and takes antibiotics and daily breathing treatments.

Meet Raymond...
He's not one of our Bayou Chico cats; rather, he and 4 more babies are recent rescues by Community Cats of Bayou Chico and two of Pensacola's most compassionate feline friends, Jackie and Kimberly.

Raymond, approximately 5 months old, was gathered up on May 22 and immediately taken to Hillman Veterinary Clinic (along with 3 more very sick kittens). We knew Raymond had serious issues... his little head was tilted and he did not respond to sound. After testing, his diagnoses included major middle ear bacteria and infection. After clinical treatment, Raymond went to his foster's home. There he experienced his first bath and then a flea-less body. 🙀

Raymond is not 'out of the woods' but you couldn't tell it by his lovable nature. He cannot get enough petting and love.... his foster spends countless hours nurturing and loving him❣️

Meet Ling...
Such a lovely lady and our first Bayou Chico colony cat to be TNVR'd; at that time, she was just a baby herself with a 2 month old kitten (Scamp). Her future and Scamp's future are much brighter now.

Meet Catfish...
This Bayou Chico, 'big boy', colony cat is not easily intimidated and harbors no worries. His faint kitten mew will fool your ears.
