Off to a busy start to "Keep the Wreath Green" fire prevention initiative. Ladder 12 responded to and worked on 3 of the 4 fires that have occured already since the 1st.

Between our thoughtful neighbors and Complete DKI's Mrs. Ashley Carpentier bringing sweets to the station, it is even more challenging to stay fit throughout the holidays. Thanks for thinking of us. We certainly appreciate the consideration.
A few photos from the Le Mans Street fire taken by an off duty Ft. Walton Beach firefighter that was riding with Ladder 12 last night. Ladder 12 and Engine 3 on the initial attack forcing the front (alpha) and Bravo doors. The 150' 1.75'' line from L-12 was advanced inside and down the hallway for interior suppression operations. Engines 1 and 17 and Truck 34 stretched additional lines for back up and exposure protection and assisted with secondary search. Battalion 2 in command.
Thank you Mrs. Posey for thinking of us once again at ECFR Fire Station 12. Every year our neighbor bakes from scratch home made cakes to commemorate the beginning of the holiday season.
Thanks again Department of Defense brothers for the hospitality. We'll stand by for you any time.

The Original Ladder 12 is back home and back in service at Station 12 on reserve Ladder status. We are glad to have her back in quarters and are ready to respond to the next emergency.
Thanks Ricki Vann and "Squeeky" for highlighting a few of the Special Operations capabilities we provide. Adequate manpower and operational proficiency are the key to a successful Rescue.
99 in the shade: Ladder 12 C working on the door prop for conventional forcible entry along with proper cutting techniques with the Stihl with Scott Averill, Paul McCleary, Kyle Kraatz, and Relief FF Jonathan Stack.
On tap today at Ladder 12: SCBA proficiency training, stretching and flowing the primary and back up lines, stretching and flowing the 2.5", overview and operations of the new high pressure TNT equipment. Hydration is the word for the day.
ECFR Ladder 12 C would like to welcome from Ft. Lauderdale, Firefighter Jamal Major to the department. As the newest addition to the Relief Firefighter ranks, Jamal brings a great attitude and desire to learn the ECFR way of doing the job. Good Luck Jamal.

FWB BATTALION CHIEF Shannon Stone working a 24 hour tour on ECFR Ladder 12 today. I'm glad there was a relaxing weekend between tours where both Stone brothers were riding nozzle on Ladder 12. Bring it!!!
Battalion Chief Steve Boothe transitioned into the newest Battalion vehicle in the fleet yesterday providing a safer and more expedited response. Battalion 2 is based out of Station 12 covering all of Escambia County.

Ladder 12 was at NAS Pensacola today for a visit with the Blue Angels. Everyone is excited to have them back this year.
