Hello sisters!
Our current MEVP and FRC are asking for your help this year in providing breakfast for spirit week. The dates are 8/19-8/22. Please sign up to bring a breakfast item if you can (the sign up sheet is attached). We will ask for you to bring your item at 9am for the day you signed up for. We will also post the room number at a later date! If you are unable to bring anything but still wish to help, you can donate through our Omegafi link below. Zeta Epsilon is having Spirit Week to prepare for recruitment August 15th-19th. They are asking for Alumnae to volunteer to bring food for breakfast/snacks throughout the week. For example, in the past we've provided bagels, sandwiches, chips, and fruit. There are about 60 ZE sisters. Below are the time slots.

Tuesday, August 16:
2:00 p.m.- Snack

Wednesday, August 17:
8:15 a.m.- Breakfast
2:00 p.m.- Snack

On May 15, 1851 Alpha Delta Pi, the first secret society for college women was founded by six women: Eugenia Tucker Fitzgerald, Elizabeth Williams Mitchell, Sophronia Woodruff Dews, Octavia Andrew Rush, Mary Evans Glass, and Ella Pierce Turner.The sorority was founded on the principles of scholarship, leadership, service to others and sisterhood. These principles still guide the policies and programs of the sorority today. We Live for Each Other. Happy Founders Day Sisters!

Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Awards Panhellenic Woman of the Year to Tammie S. Pinkston, PhD

We're excited to share that International President Tammie S. Pinkston was awarded the Panhellenic Woman of the Year from the Atlanta Alumnae Panhellenic Association this weekend.
The AAPA Panhellenic Woman of the Year award recognizes an alumna who has honored the Panhellenic Creed for a minimum of ten years through her involvement with the AAPA, sorority work on both local and national levels with achievements of merit, community service, and professional commitments. Bonnie Pennington, Delegate of The Greater Atlanta Alpha Delta Pi Alumnae Association, nominated Pinkston for this award. “Tammie is not only a member of her sorority – she is a Panhellenic Sister that works for all of us to be the best we can be and wants each member and each sorority to have the same opportunities for leadership, growth, and success,” said Pennington.

This week, students and alumnae will gather in Washinton D.C. for the annual congressional visits. The sisters who will represent Alpha Delta Pi are: Kathryn Peddy Goddard, past International President, Alpha Zeta-Southern Methodist; Anne Charnock, past Grand Council Member, Alpha Upsilon-West Virginia; Jen Webb, Foundation Executive Director, Epsilon Nu-Ashland; and collegiate sisters Sasha Azze, Delta Gamma-Arizona; Olivia Blythe, Theta Delta-Deleware and Rebecca Carlone, Theta Theta-Quinnipiac.

In addition, International President Tammie S. Pinkston, Zeta Nu-Clemson and Gamma Phi-East Tennessee State, will participate in media interviews with CBS News and The Chronicle of Higher Education to talk about our initiative.
