Hosted and juried by the Anna Society members of Pensacola State College, the 2024 Juried High School Awards Exhibition will be on display in our Charles W. Lamar Studio from June 10 – August 02.

This exhibition will feature a collective of student artwork in all media from juniors and seniors residing in both Escambia County and Santa Rosa County. Join us in celebrating these talented students on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 in the Lamar Lecture Hall (Room 1513). Award-winning students will be revealed at 5:30pm, and a reception will follow. This event is free and open to the public.

The Visual Arts Department at Pensacola State College is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty member(s) to serve as the Instructor for courses in the Fall 2024, Spring and Summer 2025 semesters.

Areas / Content / Media include: Art History, Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Humanities Art, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Two-Dimensional Design, and Three-Dimensional Design.

This exhibition in the Artel Gallery Suzanne Robbert Vault features the student award-winners from the Pensacola State College "2024 Annual Student Art Awards Exhibition". This group exhibition highlights these exceptionally talented students and represents the various art mediums and degree plans in the Visual Arts programming at the College.

We are excited to announce that this year's Anna Society featured artist is: Gina Phillips!

Gina Phillips is a mixed media, narrative artist whose tragicomedy artworks include characters that embody a magical realism and are created by appliquéing fabric and thread onto an acrylic under-painting.

Her exhibition "Hold It Up To The Light" will be on display in the Switzer Gallery from May 27 - August 09, and Phillips will be presenting an Artist Lecture on May 28, 2024 starting @ 5pm. A reception will follow, and the event is free and open to the public!

Pensacola State College's Visual Arts department proudly announces that Ralitsa Mihaylova has won GOLD for her entry "The Botanist" into the District 4 American Advertising Awards. Her entry will be forwarded to the National Competition!!!
This prestigious accolade showcases Ralitsa's exceptional talent and dedication to her craft. Her creative vision and hard work have not only been recognized but celebrated on a district level.
Professor Kristen Regan and Ralitsa Mihaylova traveled to Orlando last weekend for the incredible Awards Gala. Join us in congratulating Ralitsa on this well-deserved honor!

Congratulations to PSC Visual Arts Students of the Graphic Design and Photography programs for the awards received at the 2024 American Advertising Awards of the American Advertising Federation! PSC proudly takes home 39 Silver ADDY awards and 18 Gold ADDY awards, with 2 of the Gold ADDY awards also receiving a Judge’s Choice award.

The photo students put their work up at Jaco's Bayfront Bar and Jaco's Bayfront Bar & Grille. The images will be up through the end of the month.
