This was part of the process replacing keys to a BMW 5 series. This requires pulling the EWS3 module from under the dash and connecting to the 0D46J memory device. With the correct tools this device can be read then the bin file can be "decoded" and the key data used to write new transponders chips which are placed in the head of the properly cut key. This chip is read by the cars computers every attempt to start the car. If the coded information from the key matches what the cars computers have stored then the car should start.
