Today, Information Warfare Training Command Corry Station held a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the base chapel.
IWTC Corry Station and CIWT staff took part in the ceremony to honor those lives affected by the tragic events of 9/11
Look who our commanding officer met up with Saturday! At the commissioning ceremony for the amphibious transport dock ship USS Richard M. McCool Jr. (LPD 29) on Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, Capt. Sarah Sherwood got a photo with Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the chief of naval operations, who spoke at the event. Capt. Sarah Sherwood, Center for Information Warfare Training commanding officer, recognized several staff members for meritorious service and support during an All-Hands Call last Thursday at Corry Chapel. They included Chief Petty Officer Adam Plumley, Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew Martin and Greg Kilpatrick. Also, surrounded by his family, Lt. Cmdr. Scott Aaron (CIWT’s Cryptologic Warfare Training program manager) was promoted to commander. Congratulations, shipmates!
🟣It's Women's Equality Day!📢
Today, IWTC Corry Station CMC Dupont, CO Cmdr. Manzoli, and CIWT's CO Capt. Sherwood spoke about the importance of equality with the ranks of naval service during the observance in the base chapel.
Women's Equality Day was established in 1971, when Congress designated August 26 as “Women's Equality Day.” The date was selected to commemorate the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote.
The next event, "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes," will be held on the grinder at 4 P.M. All base personnel are invited to attend! Remember to wear purple to show your support.

Capt. Sarah Sherwood presented awards to several personnel Thursday at Corry Chapel during her first All-Hands Call as Center for Information Warfare Training commanding officer. Chief Warrant Officer 3 Toderick Christful, Ernie Hogan, Adam Bass and Chief Petty Officer Marcus Grandt were recognized for their meritorious service and commitment to CWIT. Congrats to all!
