Meet Midwife Meg ✨
Midwife Meg is the face behind Wild Rose Midwifery, the care coordinator and provider, and the caring hands that help catch all of our beautiful Wild Rose babes (she helps because a lot mamas and daddy’s catch too).
Midwife Meg was born and raised here on the beautiful Gulf Coast and has served a countless number of families in the community as a family photographer (including maternity and birth), a Full Spectrum Doula, Birth Assistant, Student Midwife, and now Midwife. She attended The Florida School of Traditional Midwifery (Gainesville became and still is her second home). Meagan is a Licensed Midwife in both Florida and Alabama. Just like other Licensed Midwives, Meagan is BLS, NRP, & Emergency skills trained amongst other necessary out of hospital trainings. Licensed Midwives are specifically trained and specialize in the safety and skill of Out of Hospital birth.
She is the mama to 5 amazing not so little ones with all different birth experiences. After hours you can find Meg in her hammock on her back porch watching the sunset and reading a book. Midwife Meg and her kids also love to paddle board and when she’s off call, they go on random adventures because life is about moments and moments turn into memories! You can find the Wild Rose team laughing over tacos!
Wild Rose Midwifery offers a plethora of services from family planning all the way through to care during the childbearing years.
It is our goal to create and foster an environment full of safety and growth. We pride ourselves in meeting every mama where they’re at and establishing a relationship based on trust and autonomy. Midwife Meagan strongly believes that the start of changing outcomes is individualized care centered around that mama, that family, that situation. Individually not as a whole. Improving outcomes begins here within the walls, throughout care and beyond. You don’t get to put a period at the end of a random space in someone’s care journey with you. Statistics change and improve each time someone feels heard and supported and they trust their provider. Midwife Megs heart and soul is in caring for her mamas. More than being patients, we are family.

July was a beautiful month for many reasons. Here are six of them 🤍

July was SUCH a beautiful month. Lovely births, strong mamas, and pink healthy little babes! And we got to hold space and watch the natural process completely take over and make way for some redemptive birthing experiences.
Six sweet little ones were born in July. All safely, undisturbed, and peacefully at their homes (Florida & Alabama).
Thank you to these families for trusting the Wild Rose team. We are so proud of you all 🤍✨

Today Midwife Meagan K. LM, CPM got to meet retired Midwife Vicki Taylor-Breheim! It was so cool because I’ve been following her on social media for the longest time.
To hear her stories and receive her encouraging words was so amazing. In the 42 years that she was practicing, she helped welcome 1,997 little babies into this world. She ran a very busy birth center here in our community!
I’m so excited to have guidance, friendship, and a mentor in Mrs. Vicki!! Thank you so much for stopping by and I can’t wait to see you again 🩷

Last week our first Alabama baby was born safely at home. We planned for her to be born in Florida HOWEVER plans changed and I’m so thankful that we were still able to attend because Midwife Meg is now a part of The Alabama Midwifery crew!! Licensed Midwife #33 🤎
For the past 3 weeks or so we’ve been opening our books to limited lower western Alabama mamas; Daphne, Spanish Fort, Foley and the places in-between (with some exceptions based on distance).
Also as a reminder….Our Florida range is the western Panhandle; Navarre to the Alabama state line.

We got to welcome this sweet little one into the world this morning. He was slow to make his decision on if he was coming out but then he quickly decided that today was a good day.
Baby No.12 (for this family) born on the 12th weighing in at 6 pounds 12 ounces. Those numbers though ✨

Sweet baby Emma 🩷

Princess Emma joined us this morning weighing in at 10 pounds even. Her mama experienced a beautiful, undisturbed, pretty quick labor. In exactly 4 hours from start to finish Emma made her way safely earth side 🩷

June was really good to us.
In the beginning of the month, we moved into our new home and got to spend most of the month creating. We’ve just about got it finished but there’s a few more things left to do! We have truly enjoyed watching everyone’s faces light up when they walk in and just take it all in! We are so happy, humbled, and blessed at how it’s all come together and how we grow each day! As of now we are full through February!!
The last few days of the month, the 27th, 28th, and the 30th we welcomed our two June babes and one of our little July princesses to our Wild Rose family. All were born safely and pretty quickly at home to strong warrior mamas. We are so thankful to have been on these journeys! Congratulations to these growing families AND welcome to the world to these beautiful babes 🤍✨
