Vanessa will be starting at the salon next week and we’re so excited to welcome her to the Aura family💙 She has been a stylist since 2015 and loves providing color, blonding services, fashion colors, mens cuts and styling services. She has been a part of bridal teams, photo shoots, and runway hair & makeup!

Outside of the Salon, Vanessa is very invested in community building, and has a passion for people and their stories, which is why she loves doing hair and connecting with people! She is a dog mom of two huskies and loves all animals!

Our Bridal team spent the morning with 2 beautiful brides today! Mandy Wedig, and Ashley Danielle provided glam for Mary and her bridal party, while Kenzie Hockenbury , Sarah DeVore , and Andrea Huprich helped Bride Libby and her bridal party with their early morning glam.

We feel so blessed that both brides included us to be a part of their big day! We hope your weddings were amazing and we cannot wait to see the photos! Here is a quick little peek into our morning!

We have a couple of stylist spots still available, as well as a room opening starting in July! We are also looking to expand our bridal team as we continue this growth journey! There are so many exciting opportunities coming Aura’s way that we just know you’ll love being a part of!

Rachel is a master hairstylist who lived in Johannesburg, South Africa for the last 12 1/2 years! While there she owned and operated her own salon! She loves to do sunkissed colors, lived in colors, balayage, natural blondes, blondes, brazilian blow waves, and keeping the hair healthy!!

She loves hanging out with family and friends, especially her 4 year old daughter Scarlett! We’re so excited to have her joining the salon!

Discontinued - Sensorial Mint and Sweet Camomile will no longer be available. Our supply house has a small stock available and then it is gone. If you wish to order please send us a message and we will check inventory amounts for you.

Liter Pre Sale - Last weeks liters have arrived! If you ordered before 1/18 your order will be available at the boutique. If you have not picked up your liters from the first week, they will also be available in the boutique.

All orders placed by Saturday should arrive next Tuesday/Wednesday. Please note that some liters are on backorder, we hope they will be in next week. We have contacted the 3 people who are waiting on backordered liters.

Say hello to our newest stylist, Kenzie! Kenzie and her family have been longtime clients of Sarah, and last month, Kenzie graduated from the Paul Mitchell school in Bloomington. You may have met her around the salon already, she has been spending time shadowing for the last 6 months and also works next door at Sage & Co. Kenzie has decided to start and grow her career with Aura, and we couldn't be happier to have her with us!

In salon, Kenzie loves to do color services. Her focus is on blonding, dimensional colors, and having fun with vivid colors! She loves to give haircuts that accentuate her clients' features and is great with making children comfortable in her chair. When not in the salon, Kenzie loves to relax with her cats, crochet, and spend time with her friends and family.

A couple months ago we welcomed a new stylist into the Aura Family. Now that she is settled in let's all give hello to Emily!

Emily is a licensed cosmetologist from Peoria who earned her degree at the Aveda Institute of Denver. She started her career as an apprentice in a Colorado salon and quickly worked her way up behind the chair. She specializes in lived in color, short cuts (specifically bobs) and extensions. Emily takes pride in the connections she makes with her clients and wants everyone leaving her chair to feel like the best version of themselves.

When Emily isn’t behind the chair, she is spending time with her husband, Ben, and her son, Walter. They enjoy being outside and doing projects together. A perfect weekend together could be anything from a spontaneous road trip to staying cozy at home.

This year, we are happy to host this cute little Angel Tree full of gift tags for toys for boys and girls in our community. This is a program lead by Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters . Please help us and empty all of the holiday tags and provide toys for these special kids!
