We’re still a little behind sharing all the AMAZING things happening at Changed By Fire but we absolutely wanted to post about attending the grand opening of Valleywise’s new Diane & Bruce Halle Arizona Burn Center just a few weeks ago. The opportunity to connect with fellow attendees, the dedicated Valleywise staff, and incredibly resilient burn survivors, all while sharing in the collective excitement for what the new Burn Center represents, truly made it a memorable day.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​It was inspiring to meet others who are also passionate about supporting Valleywise's mission, and to share about the partnership between Valleywise and Changed By Fire. The sense of community and shared purpose was incredible.

The new Burn Center itself is a marvel of thoughtful design and functionality. Every aspect, from the calming color schemes and intricate floor designs to the serene chapels and the strategically placed windows that flood the space with natural light and offer stunning views of the valley, has been meticulously planned. This attention to detail not only creates a healing environment for patients but also an amazing workspace for the staff.

In every way conceivable, the new facility embodies innovation and compassion, making it a beacon of hope and recovery for burn survivors. Participating in this event was not only an honor but a deeply moving experience that I will cherish!

We had such an amazing time at the Ryan’s Hope Havana night! 🌴 From poker to bingo, every second was a blast. What truly made the night special, though, wasn't just the games or the theme. It was all about the people and the cause.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Ryan’s Hope is another local valley nonprofit that is dedicated to giving a helping hand to families when they need it the most. Last night was a reminder that it’s not just about raising funds; it's about being part of a community that lifts each other up.

Super grateful to have been a part of this. It’s incredible to see the difference we can make right here in the valley. Here’s to more nights like this and to doing good, together. ✌️💖

This day was a truly special day. Instead of just celebrating my amazing mom's birthday within our family circle, we had the incredible opportunity to visit and share a meal with the amazing doctors and nurses at the Arizona Burn Center at Valleywise Health. Our time at the center incredibly uplifting, and the nurses even sang my Mom happy birthday. 😭❤️​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Their work goes above and beyond simply healing physical wounds; they have dedicated their lives to mending hearts and minds, guiding their patients through their darkest moments 💕. And yet, they don't see themselves as heroes, rather as humble servants with a passion for healing.

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to the tireless doctors, nurses, and staff of the Arizona Burn Center at Valleywise Health. The work you do touches countless lives, and we are endlessly grateful for your service and dedication and so thankful to be your partner.

It’s always a great time being in company with Valleywise Health Foundations and their supporters at Night of the Valley in Scottsdale, Az! The venue was beautiful, the entertainment was fantastic and the amount of funds raised in one night was absolutely incredible and inspiring! 2) This year we’re looking for all things ARIZONA 🏜️🌵☀️ in the design. Please use the image in the second photo in this post as your guide (Keep all designs inside the Arizona outline.) You can use crayon, marker, digital or any medium you choose and we will digitize it for the medal design.

3) Include your name and contact information (email address & phone number.

4) The winner will be chosen by the board of Changed By Fire on October 15th, 2023 and the winner will be notified by October 31st, 2023. They will have their design turned into the 2024 AZ Walk of Courage medal, receive a FREE race registration and have their name on the 2024 sponsor t-shirt.

Save the date! Our Equine Therapy and Wellness Day is coming! This is an event designed to showcase the different healing modalities that Changed By Fire offerers. It’s an incredible day to learn, connect and heal. This year is going to be amazing. If you’re a burn survivor, caregiver or know someone in the burn community please share this with them. We know that the physical and emotional healing journey after a burn injury can be a long and difficult road, but the World Burn Congress offers a unique opportunity to connect with others who have shared similar experiences. This event is a place where survivors can come together, share stories, and learn from each other.

Several members of the Changed By Fire team have had the privilege of attending the World Burn Congress, an event that proved to be a transformative experience. As a result, we are thrilled to announce that we will be sponsoring 10 survivors to attend this exceptional event. The Changed By Fire initiative will cover the cost of the survivors' entry tickets to the Congress, providing an opportunity for them to benefit from the knowledge, support, and sense of community that the event offers.

We are thrilled to offer this opportunity, and we can't wait to see the impact that this event will have on the survivors lives. If you know someone who would benefit from this opportunity, please share this post with them and encourage them to apply. Together, we can create a community of healing love and inclusion for burn survivors everywhere.

Posting a little late but stilling thinking about the unbelievable premiere of the Courage Rising Documentary. Seeing the survivors overcome not only physical limitations but also the emotional challenges was overwhelming and incredible. Thank you again for having us and for everything you do!
