Let’s talk about why I started my esthetics journey 🧖🏻‍♀️

Senior year of highschool I had no idea what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go to college. I felt so pressured by society to pick a career that made money off the jump whether I enjoyed it or not. This also happened to be the same time I realized I wanted to learn more about my skin and how I could treat it right. I struggled all throughout highschool with texture, breakouts and dryness. I learned and researched and would spread the information I found to everyone I could. My mom and school counselor both eventually talked me into looking at an esthetics program. I had no idea what an esthetician was at the time. As soon as I researched what takes place during an esthetic program, I just knew this would be my forever career. I didn’t care how much money it would make me or how long it would take to get my license, I knew this is what would make me happy. I have always had such a desire to help others in anyway I can. Knowing I could help people feel just a little more beautiful or making their day to day life a little easier filled my heart with joy. My mom helped me apply to Tricoci University soon after and I was so ecstatic. I started my schooling August 2022 and graduated January 2023. I could not have been more blessed to have such great friends and family in my corner throughout the whole process. I have been working at Elle & Elle Salon in Bartonville since February and I could not imagine life any other way. Thank you to all and stick around to watch me and my skills grow in this beautiful industry ❤️

Zone 7 (nose & upper lip)

A red nose can be a sign of heightened blood pressure while broken capillaries in this area can mean multiple things such as: environment, genetics or heavily squeezing breakouts. The upper lip is associated with your reproductive system. Hormone changes can cause hyperpigmentation or excessive hair growth.

Zones 6 & 8 (eyes)

The eyes can tell you a lot about your internal health. While dark circles around the eyes can be hereditary, worsening over time can be a sign of dehydration and poor elimination.

These zones are related to respiratory distress or as simple as being on your phone! Smokers can see broken capillaries, congestion or hyperpigmentation in this area while breakouts are resulted from bacteria. Phones contain a high number of bacteria which you should be aware of when taking frequent calls!

Zones 4 & 10 (ears) 👂🏼

The ears relate to the kidneys. Hot ears and breakouts along the ears can indicate too much stress on the kidneys. Drinking plenty of plain water and improving elimination can help prevent these issues!

Breakouts along this area can indicate possible food allergies and/or too much consumption of rich foods or alcohol. To prevent any breakouts here make sure to balance your diet and drink plenty of water!

One year ago I started my journey at beauty school! ✨🧖🏻‍♀️

Making the decision to go to beauty school was the best thing I’ve ever done. I met the most amazing people along the way and proved to myself that I can accomplish anything I want to. Those six months were filled with constant facials and waxing, long nights studying and a lot of laughter. To the teachers and friends that made it so easy to walk in every morning, thank you. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people by my side through it all and I’m so excited to see where the future takes me in my career 🩷
