Where on earth did the last four weeks go?! I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow and celebrate these past two years of Real Smooth Foods! A couple housekeeping things to keep in mind:
- Online ordering is now turned off to help us manage the flow. Everything tomorrow will be first come first serve!
- If you are interested in any of our consumables (straws, spoons, cups, etc) feel free to reach out via DM or chat with us tomorrow and we can get you set!
- We may run a little low on bags toward the end of the day tomorrow, so if you’d like to bring your own, we’d love that!

Real Smooth Foods turns two today! I have so many thoughts and gratitudes to express, but first I have some bittersweet news to share. My husband was recently offered what is essentially his dream job, and as a result, our family will be relocating to Phoenix.

The decision to take the leap and say yes to this amazing opportunity, has been accompanied by many discussions about the future of Real Smooth Foods. Through these conversations, we have made the incredibly hard decision to close our store at the end of this month. So much of Real Smooth Foods still happens with my two hands and between my two ears that it would be unsustainable to attempt to operate remotely.

But what about selling?! This is the question every family member has asked as we’ve shared this news, and my reaction is always the same. I am so incredibly passionate about the mission of Real Smooth Foods, our core tenants, and educating the community on how to nourish their bodies in the simplest way. If selling means seeing that product and vision diluted, I’m not here for it. This is not to say that the right person isn’t out there, but I am so proud of what we have built to this point, and am truly at peace with the legacy we will leave.

The good news? We still have four more weeks together! Our last day of operation will be Saturday, January 27th. I would love for these next few weeks to be a celebration of what we have built! We have some fun ideas up our sleeves and I hope to be able to say “Hi!” to so many of you so please please stop in and stock up on all your favorites before we say goodbye!

And if you are the praying type, the Cross Family would sure love your prayers as we navigate this massive transition! I’ll have way more sappy thoughts to share over the next couple of weeks, but for now, thank you for being here, and thank you for supporting this dream of mine. Let’s close it out with a bang!

I hope that you were all able to soak up some time with the important people in your life this weekend. Our crew will be taking tomorrow (12/26) off to enjoy the last bits of holiday magic, but we will be back to our regularly scheduled programming on Wednesday!
