I will maintain your privacy to the best of my ability. I will never share, I’m too busy making things for such nonsense. More butterflies…because they make me happy! I’ve been experimenting with using different tools to add abstract elements. On this painting I unused a pencil eraser, a slinky, deconstructed toilet paper roll, medicine cup and a paint lid to help create different effects. It’s fun to play around with art and see what happens.

cheeky remix. and .on.main, we put the F in fun! You missed a fun class last night! They were having so much fun, most of the group created two pieces! We had St. Patrick’s Day mini art options and assorted tall skinny art options! Plenty of shenanigans and laughter. Fun snacks and mocktails! Carol spent two hours having an in depth conversation with my fact loving son about history, geography and politics! More fun classes to be posted soon!

Or how about an intimate baby shower where you create art for the baby’s room? Well now you can! Ask us about our cheeky framed art kits! If you see a framed art design that we offer as a class, give me a shout! We can turn it into a to a do at home kit! Do you want a special one created just for your special party? Let me know and we can work together to create something completely unique for you! I will send everything you need to create your fabric design, except scissors and an iron, you mail the finished fabric design on canvas to me and I will sew it up, add any special words or phrases that you choose and attach it to the frame color of your choice! I’ll mail back your completed piece of art! All for the same price as attending the class! How much fun is that! I’ll be working on some random design at home cheeky kits form my upcoming vendor shows! Kind of like paint by number kits, but totally different! These kits would make great birthday gifts or as party favors! Available in different sizes and price points. Let’s get cheeky!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 27th! Come make May Day Baskets with and .on.main to benefit Childhood Cancer! The cost is $10 each and $5 of that will be going to St Jude to honor Parker’s Purpose Mission. As you may or may not know, my son Parker was diagnosed with cancer at the age of two. He received daily chemo for 961 days. He wouldn’t be here without the help of St Jude. Liz from Lulu’s on Main in Morton runs the St Jude Memphis to Peoria Run every year and we want to help her reach her fundraising goals this year by partnering with Lulu’s for this super fun event. What I love most about this event, is that you will be donating to an extremely worthy cause, making the difference in children’s lives, but then you’ll also have a nice little suprise to gift a friend, family member, neighbor or stranger in a nursing home! What a day of giving! We will be receiving walk-ins from 10-2! This workshop/fundraiser is adult and child friendly. We can’t wait to see you! ☀️🎗️

Oh hey! It’s March! This a big month! There is St Patrick’s Day, the first day of Spring, Easter, my birthday AND it’s Colon Cancer Awareness Month! This is my new hat for Colon Cancer Awareness! Colon Cancer is the third most diagnosed cancer in the US and the second leading in cancer death. It’s considered one of the silent killers, because a lot of times you are symptom free until it has progressed into late stage. The good news is, that if caught early, it can be treated, in most cases with surgery without the need of chemo or radiation. How do I know this? I am one of those who was living with colon cancer and had absolutely no symptoms that I was aware of. My nurse practitioner said, hey old lady, it’s time for your first colonoscopy, to which I replied, who me? A week after my very first screening colonoscopy, I was called with the news. Cancer. The next few weeks were a whirlwind of meetings with doctors and tests. All the sudden I had a GI doctor, a surgeon, an oncologist and a nurse navigator in my circle of VIPS. I was fortunate that my cancer was caught early. I underwent surgery to remove 12 inches of my colon and did not have to have chemo or radiation. You can’t get away from any cancer unscathed, but life is good. So this is your PSA… 📢 if you are 45 years or older, have a family history of colon cancer or are having any issues with your gut or butt, talk to your doctor about getting your colonoscopy. Don’t be shy, they get paid big bucks to talk about your butt! They need to know all the scary embarrassing details to get to the “bottom” of the problem! Speak out! You might save your own life or someone else’s! ❤️

We are doing some shifting around for next week’s cheeky Framed Art Class hosted by .on.main !! The art class is scheduled for Thursday, March 7th at 5:30 PM! You can now choose to either create a fun small St Patrick’s Day artwork for $25 or a skinny/tall frame with a sun, house or flower bouquet for $45 As usual, there will be multiple design options/accessories to choose from and of course, sips and snacks! All supplies provided by cheeky remix.! You bring yourself, we’ll bring the shenanigans!
This will be a normal class where you design, then I’ll bring back to my studio to sew and finish attaching the frames. I’ll make the turn around time quick since St Patty’s Day is just around the corner!
Oh! And did I mention? We will be creating in Lulu’s new bonus room that was just finished! I can’t wait to break to break it in cheeky style!
