If you ever wonder WHY you should donate to St Jude or the local Heller Center for children with cancer, this is WHY! Five years ago and today. Five years ago he was losing his hair for the first time and sick with the first couple of months of a nearly three year cancer treatment. Today he is happy and healthy. St Jude saves lives, all around the world. Donations keep research going to improve treatments and improve survival rates. There are many types of childhood cancer and some of them are significantly harder to treat then others. St Jude keeps striving to keep more kids alive. This is the why. This is the best Christmas present ever. 🎗️❤️🎅

Let me tell you about this custom order. My dear customer saw something online that she really liked, but it would be coming from somewhere else in the country and it was something hundreds of other people could be wearing. She messaged me and asked if I could create my own cheeky version. Her exact words were “Any way you can cheekyfy this?” How can you possibly say no when someone comes up with their own special term for what you do and how you do it? 😄 She chose to and it made both her day and mine! I’m digging this hand drawn cheekyfied typewriter font! I believe I’ll be using it again! A big thanks to all of you who choose to shop unique with me this year! 😘

These scrappy, “Guardians of Hope Angels” are our ornament for the “cheeky Giving Tree” this year. They are $6 each and the entire $6 will be donated to the Heller Center for kids with cancer. My son wouldn’t be where he is today without their care. We are so lucky to have this facility in our area for long term treatment and services for kids with cancer and blood diseases. They will be a wonderful addition to your own holiday tree or to hang somewhere throughout the year to remind you to keep hope and that our gone loved ones are near. A great gift for family and friends. For me personally, these angels represent our childhood cancer journey. They are scrappy, just like the children battling life threatening illnesses. Entering a children’s cancer floor or center, will completely humble you. They fight like no other. The yellow/gold represents childhood cancer awareness and the Hope…we live for Hope. So many do. 🎗️❤️ Each Angel is lovingly hand made and no two will be exactly the same. I will have a giving tree set up this weekend in Chillicothe for The Breakfast with Santa event and vendor show so that you can choose in person. They are available to order online. A woman pointed out, with disgust, at a recent show, the dichotomy of my cheeky offerings. There were naughty…and nice items near each other. As a business owner, I strive to carry a little something for everyone. As an artist and a human, I believe that no person is just one thing. We all have a little naughty and a little nice. A little bad and a little good. As a human, I choose to be honest about who I am. I am kind, caring and generous to a fault. I am also silly and honery and use light and dark humor to get through the hard things life has thrown my way. I have to laugh! The alternative is not acceptable for me. As an artist, I leave a bit of my heart and soul in everything I create. I’m open and honest about who I am. That does leave my people pleasing side open to be hurt by comments. Little did this prim and proper woman realize that she was showing her “dark side” with her meanness. I choose to forgive. (It may take me a day or two, but I do.) I certainly realize that my thing, may not be your thing. But I do have a wide variety of items. And if nothing is up to your standards, I’m sure there are others who are. That’s why scrolling and doors were invented. I love my cheeky customers who get me, but if you don’t, please don’t be mean, move along to the place that is right for you without the unkind comments.
