Good afternoon Peoria!!! Just wanted to remind everyone that we will closed for our annual “get outta town” trip starting July 1st-July 16th. We are celebrating the milestone achievement of them obtaining their black belts in taekwondo! We will reopen on July 17th on our normal business hours. Thanks for all the support, love and understanding!!!!

We will also be closed on Friday (5/24).

Hey hey P-town, wadda ya say!!! Just wanted to give a lil PSA….today is the first day of menu flip. So please take a look at the menu online for the changes as some things may have gone away for the springtime. Thanks so much for all the love and support, have a wonderful day! Pictured below is the Power Bowl: Quinoa dressed with a strawberry oregano vinaigrette on a bed of heritage blend lettuces along with feta cheese, edamame, garbanzo beans, English cucumbers, sliced red onions, farm fresh grape tomatoes and garnished with spiced almonds.
Gabe would like to challenge any customer to a speed cubing race (3/21). I told him, “If the customer wins, I’ll give them a free cupcake.” His response was, “If they win, you should buy their lunch!”
It maybe a hard thing to juggle here at the restaurant, but if you challenge the boy and win, we’ll buy your lunch. 🙂
You can challenge him to sport stacking too, but winner only gets a cupcake… he just started this weekend. 🙂

Alright, alright, alright….so we’re 2 days away from some Corned Beef goodness!!! I made about 80 orders for Friday and I’ve already got 20 sold, so get it while it lasts!!!!
Hello, Hello, Hello P-Town!!!!!! So as the weather changes, so must the menu - but I'm willing to bet that both are equally looked forward to! You can say you heard it here first...we are going to be switching over to our Spring Menu on April 2nd (Tuesday). Just as we've done in the past we've taken off some of the heavier items and we are going to introduce some new ones....I know ya'll will be sad the Chicken Pot Pie is going away but I promise you'll like the new stuff lol. So here are a few of the things that we'll be adding to the menu.....
Quinoa Salad
Red and white quinoa served over a bed of mixed greens with sliced seedless cucumbers, spiced almonds, edamame, farm fresh grape tomatoes, sliced red onions, garbanzo beans and feta cheese accompanied by a strawberry oregano vinaigrette.
The Heat
Smoked turkey breast sliced thinly and layered on top of a mandarin orange tortilla accompanied by a chipotle mayo, smoked gouda cheese, red onions, and crisp leaf lettuce and farm fresh roma tomatoes.
Sweet, Salty n’ Spicy
Delicious shaved black forest ham served with whipped brie cheese and house made hot pepper jelly accompanied by farm fresh tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions, and crisp lettuce on our house made rye bread.

Hey hey hey!!! Just wanted to let y’all know that even though St Paddy’s day falls on a Sunday this year-we will be serving our famous house made Corned Beef and Cabbage Friday 3/15. We will be serving corned beef and cabbage instead of our delicious meatloaf that Friday. Corned beef accompanied by parslied red skin potatoes, braised cabbage and baby carrots served with a thick slice of Irish soda bread. Stay tuned…I’ll put out some reminders in the next couple days! Usually we usually have a long list of fun filled activities to share with you, but we just took turns being sick and sleeping. So we are well rested to rock in the New Year!!! We can’t wait to see everyone!
We here at The Chef and The Baker would like to wish everyone the merriest of holidays from our family to yours. We will be closed until Wednesday January 3rd to spend time with families near and far. We would like to thank everyone for their support and love over the last year- it means the world to us. We will be closed Friday, November 11th. We have had a death in our family and will be taking some time off to be with family and celebrate a wonderful life that was lived. Because of his support, we were able to take the risk and open this very restaurant.

Good Morning P-Town!!! It is officially that time again here at the CnB....yep, you guessed it- menu change!! Starting tomorrow we will flip the menu, so be sure to check our website for all the details. So as usual, some things come off and some new/fan favs get a chance to be enjoyed. Before you start to wonder... Yes, the chicken pot pie is coming back lol. So is the enchiladas with those tasty green chips that y'all love so much and I'm even going off the reservation and making a lamb sandwich as well. So the moment you've all been waiting for...
Winter Cobb
Farm fresh kale blend served with dried cranberries, roasted butternut squash, spiced almonds, sharp white cheddar, thinly sliced red onions, and a tomato medley accompanied by a maple vinaigrette.
District III
Triple washed spinach with roasted beets, fire roasted fuji apples, blue cheese, house made croutons, thinly sliced red onions and farm fresh grape tomatoes accompanied by an oregano vinaigrette.
Beef and Blue
Gourmet roast beef thinly sliced and piled high on rosemary focaccia with a blue cheese horseradish sauce served with farm fresh tomatoes, sliced red onions, and crisp lettuce.
Code VII
Smoked turkey breast sliced thinly and layered on top of a mandarin orange tortilla accompanied by a cran-rosemary spread, Danish Havarti cheese, red onions, and crisp leaf lettuce and farm fresh roma tomatoes.
Turkey and Artichoke
Smoked turkey breast served with a thyme artichoke spread and provolone cheese accompanied by farm fresh roma tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions and crisp lettuce on our house made olive bread.
Drunken Hamu
Delicious shaved black forest ham served with sliced aged white cheddar accompanied by a bourbon fuji apple puree with farm fresh tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions, and crisp lettuce on our house made wheat bread.
Also, we are bringing back our daily soups. Which will include fan favs such as Roasted Butternut and Cheddar, Cream of Mushroom, Chocolate scented Chili. Hey guys, here’s what going on at the c and b this week.
We will be closed on Wednesday, for an off site catering.
We will be closed on Thursday as well. The mini baker has asked us to chaperone her field trip. We say no to these requests a lot, but even now and then you have to say yes or else she might stop asking to hang out with us.
And Friday will be the final day of this current menu. We will post the new menu here soon. And update the website this weekend.

The calendar says fall starts in about 2 weeks. So maybe this pumpkin cupcake is a little early, but come enjoy them anyways.
Just a heads up, we will be closed Thursday (9/21) for a fundraiser for our kids’ school.
We will be closed Wednesday (9/27) for an off site catering gig.
And the plan is to flip the menu the first week of October, so come on in and enjoy the last couple weeks of this menu.
