#5 Read the lease
Carefully read the lease agreement to ensure you aren't signing away important things for you, make sure all the rules are clear and that there are no hidden details the landlord didn't mention. This way you know your responsibilities and your rights as a renter.
#6 Get renter's insurance
Renter's insurance can save you a lot of money and time in the long run by providing you and your landlord the comfort of knowing you are protected.
