Jar d'Ann
Real Food, Real Easy. Jar d'Ann offers organic ready-to-make-at-home products like soups, chili, desserts, overnight oats, veggie burgers. And more!
Jar d'Ann is a business designed to make eating well easy to do. The idea for Jar d'Ann came about as a fusion of two passions -- whole food, plant-based eating and a desire to minimize waste. All the products are shelf stable and are prepared just by adding either water or nondairy milk. Perfect for those times when you just don't have time to cook. Do these situations every apply in your life? (
We miss all our customers! Please come see us in the civic center this Saturday.
We had a blast at the Plant Based Peoria Expo last year and we’re going to be back again. Come see us after the farmer’s market in the air conditioned civic center from 11-6. Don’t forget to bring back your empty jars for a $1 credit.
Oh and come hungry, there are sooooo many food vendors. (And retail, and speakers, and shopping, and music…)
Between now and the farmer's market season, you still have to eat, right? What better way than supporting these 18 locally-owned restaurants. They've all created some great plant-based specials for April. Bon Appetit!

Long post alert: Why you’ll see less of us at the market this year…
Seven years ago we had this crazy idea to start a farmer’s market stand selling dried food mixes – soups, brownies, waffles, veggie burgers, overnight oats, and more. We always loved going to the market, so what would be more fun than being one of the vendors!?
And we were exactly right, it’s been a blast! We got to know our “regulars,” became good friends with our neighbors and enjoyed making delicious food easy and accessible.
But (you knew that was coming), we didn’t anticipate how much demand there would be and how much it would increase. (Best compliment ever, so thank you!!) What started as a hobby and side hustle has continued to grow. So we have the worst reason ever for pulling back – too much success.
Were we younger with great ambitions to grow, there would be so many opportunities. But at this point, growth would involve adding employees and then instead of this being a fun job, it would turn into real work with real responsibilities.
There are a few of you out there who I worry may starve, so you’ll be happy to know that we still plan to do a few markets and special events. We’ll keep this page active and list them here. Plus you can always message us to place an order.
You’ll still see us at the market most weekends as shoppers, and if we aren’t there, perhaps we’ll be taking advantage of the open calendar to do some other fun things.
So thank you all for your support, your business and your friendship!
Ann & Vincent
Looking forward to it!

Our Story
Jar d'Ann is a business designed to make eating well easy to do.
The idea for Jar d'Ann came about as a fusion of two passions -- whole food, plant-based eating and a desire to minimize waste.
All the products are shelf stable and are prepared just by adding either water or nondairy milk.
Perfect for those times when you just don't have time to cook. Do these situations every apply in your life? (Of course they do...)
* Getting home late from work with no time/energy to cook from scratch
* Having something on hand for the kids to prepare for themselves
* Camping trips
* Vacations
* No time to shop
* No interest/experience in cooking
* Not a morning person
You name it. With our products, you don't have to compromise healthy eating just because life gets busy.
We're a new company, so recipe testing is in full swing, but we already have a variety of sweet and savory options -- check the menu page for current inventory.
Our philosophy is to use organic, whole foods. While organic is not always possible for every ingredient, you can be assured the bulk of what we use meets all the standards for organic certification. Some farmers we buy from grow their produce using organic methods, but haven't jumped through the hoops for governmental certification. We still support them.
None of our products will have refined flours or sweeteners. Nature gives us an abundance of everything we need, so you'll see whole grain flours and natural sugars.
Everything is packaged in returnable/reusable/recyclable glass jars. In fact, if you bring the jar back, we'll even give you a $1 credit toward your next purchase.
When the option to open a stand at the Peoria Riverfront Market came up, we jumped at it. So for the 2018 season (May - September 22) you'll find us every Saturday morning from 8am to noon at the downtown Peoria market.
One day soon we'll have a website up and running, Until then, please contact us for more information. We check this page and our email address frequently.
See you at the Market!
