How to create quick affect state change in children - resourcing!⭐️😂

The importance of authentic attachment for children…..
Whenever a child leaves my office I ask them if they would like their goodbye to be a hug, a dance, or a high five. I know there is growth when a child, who has previously completely disconnected from emotional and physical contact, asks for a hug, squeezes my head so tight to their chest that they don’t want to let go.
This child is showing they are grateful for an adult who authentically connects!

This was the best part of my day and I am feeling so grateful to have witnessed healing!
