Just a few food plot notes:
We hope your summer is going well. With this extreme heat and lack of moisture, any existing food plots will be under stress and may need some extra attention this year. To get the most out of your clover plots, make sure you mow in mid to late August. Then when the new growth is 2-3 inches tall, spray a combination of Plot Punch and BioForce. The two can be mixed together and make a great combination providing the essentials for a bountiful and nutritious food that the deer can't resist. For best results, spray 2 times, 2 weeks apart.
The same goes for any new plots you plan on planting this late summer. The brassica mixes respond really well to the Plot Punch / BioForce combination. After the second application, things seem to explode.

A customer sent in some progression pictures of their plots, the day of spraying and 1 week after using Plot Punch liquid fertilizer. Thanks for sharing and good luck come deer season!

One of our customers sent these photos in. First picture is their food plot the day it was sprayed with our plot punch liquid fertilizer, second picture is 3 days later.

We planted our personal food plot with Domain Outdoor LLC Sugar Momma on July 30th. We used Humisol, dry fertilizer and pelletized lime while planting.
On August 17th we sprayed Plot Punch, Contra, and BioForce.

Step 1: Humisol

Humisol is a granular concentrated product which contains humic substances that increases soil cation exchange capacity and water holding ability, improving nutrient availability and promoting the healthy growth of beneficial microbial organisms.

It’s always a good idea to pull and follow a soil test. Apply lime to adjust your soil pH to optimize the soil nutrients. An application of a dry fertilizer 10-10-10 or 19-19-19 at a rate of 100 to 200 pounds per acre can help correct any nutrient imbalance in your field.

Also, when establishing a new food plot, 10 to 20 pounds per acre of Humisol should be added and worked into the top 2” of soil. Humisol is a granular concentrated product which contains humic substances from vegetable origin that increases soil cation exchange capacity (CEC) and water holding ability, improving nutrient availability and promoting the growth of healthy population of beneficial microbial organisms. The addition of Humisol to your fertilizer program will provide long-term soil improvement.

Step 2: Plot Punch

Plot Punch is an original foliar fertilizer designed to get the most out of your food plots. Apply at 1-3 inches of growth and repeat as necessary. Foliar applied nutrients are readily available for the plants to use and much more efficient than dry fertilizer.

Plot Punch will get your plants off to a good start and provide your deer with the nutrition they need and keep them coming back all season long. Plot Punch utilizes slow release technology in our nitrogen source. This will give a steady supply of nitrogen over a 10-day to two-week period after application with no burning. The phosphorus in Plot Punch is 100% ortho or available to the plant. This helps convert other nutrients into usable building blocks with which to grow. The potassium acetate used in Plot Punch is a very mild and very mobile form in the plant. This will help the plant use water efficiently, giving the plant the ability to resist drought aiding in overall growth.

There is also a unique sugar component to Plot Punch. This acts as a delivery system for all the nutrients and sugars are the simplest form of carbon and plants crave carbon! The sugars also provide the plant high energy which helps the plants grow. Plot Punch is designed to make things grow NOW!

Step 3: Contra
Contra is a temporary deer repellant and fertilizer additive. It should always be used on fields where there is heavy feeding from deer. Extreme pressure adds stress to young plants and adversely affects your yields. Some plots never recover from this stress.
Contra is an innovative formulation containing natural ingredients that discourage feeding by deer and other mammals. Contra has a pungent odor derived from garlic extract which minimizes the attraction where applied. It also has a pungent taste derived from hot pepper extract discouraging wildlife feeding. Contra will remain active 2 to 3 weeks depending on the amount of rain received.

Step 4: Bio-Force
Bio-Force is an additive for Plot Punch. Bio-Force should be used to achieve maximum yield results in growing conditions that are less-than-ideal. This is a plant growth promoter.
Bio-Force is a combination of micro-nutrients and natural plant extracts formulated for foliar applications. It stimulates both the foliage and roots that it makes contact with, as well as other parts of the plant to which it is translocated, resulting in balanced growth.
Bio-Force promotes recovery and growth after or before adverse environmental conditions, performing best when it is added directly to a Plot Punch application.

Over the last couple of years, we have really enjoyed the process of starting and growing food plots with our family on our land in Northeastern Wisconsin.
We have seen the dramatic effects food plots have made on our hunting. The problem we are having is that most of our food plots are on marginal ground with less-than-ideal growing conditions. We needed something to get the plots off to a good start with fast regrowth to keep ahead of the pressure the deer were putting on the plants and we needed the plots to last the entire season.
That’s why we developed the Plot Punch System: to help the average deer hunter effectively grow nutritious food plots to harvest more deer.
