Happy Indigenous Peoples Day today and everyday. Today is dedicated to the ancestors that endured before us and the collective indigenous brilliance awakening and getting stronger everyday.

Continuing our Hispanic Heritage Month highlights of awesome Latinx creators, today we spotlight a group I’ve been following that supports and provides holistic healthcare & wellness programs to the Latinx and Indigenous communities.
bus is a bilingual mobile herb clinic in Sonoma County that takes community-based action to meet the needs of the growing health disparity in the Latinx and Indigenous communities. Their clinic recognizes the knowledge of the people as an unlimited and invaluable resource, and is driven by the proven success of the self-healing community model in which holistic health is empowered by the people, for the people.

Their Promotora CHAs are the heart of their programs. They are a team of Latinx and Indigenous women providing trusted, culturally relevant health services to their communities through the Botanical Bus clinic and wellness workshops as massage therapists, nurse practitioners, somatic therapists, artists, activists and herbalists.

We are so proud to share them with you. They are truly an incredible non-profit doing some of the most important work for the communities who need it the most. They are donation based so please consider supporting their vital cause.

Today is the first day of Hispanic Heritage month which runs from September 15th - October 15th 🎉✨

This year the theme is ‘UNIDOS: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation,’ and we’ll be hyping up la raza all month long by highlighting inspiring creatives that I’ve discovered in this space and admire deeply. Read more below…

Victoria Villasana, born in Guadalajara, Mexico, is a textile, installation and street artist that uses pattern, geometry and color to weave intricate visual stories that reflect the human experience. My favorite part about their work is the obvious inspiration that comes from the craftsmanship and the textile traditions in Mexico and across other indigenous cultures.

“I want to honour these ancient traditions, but I do not simply want to copy them. I feel textiles are a tactile, comforting element in our psyche, from the pieces made by ancient cultures to the blankets our grandmothers used to make.” -

Can I be honest with you? …To be a business owner in ANY capacity- small/ large, handmade/ service based is truly exhausting and often times feels difficult only for the sake of being difficult.

I wear so many hats behind this phone and lately my marketing hat has been collecting some dust… so for today’s return to social media content pls enjoy this slide of unedited photos.

I actually really love them just as is, no edits. We’re sun bathing and feeling silly for taking photos but also happy because our skin looks amazing and we were doing exactly what I want to do everyday of my life…

This year was one of the most validating as a small business and maker. We sold more than ever before and heard how much you loved our products, how they made a difference for your elders, friends, and loved ones. This is the mojo that keeps the engine running and we’re sooo GRATEFUL 🙏🏽

But as the year comes to an end we feel a calling to s l o w down and go inward. We encourage you to do the same!!
