We love this time of year! The Petaluma Valley Hospital Next Gen Advisory Committee recently approved the purchase of over $10,000 of equipment for 2017: A Sci-Fit Step One Stepper for Cardiopulmonary, a Vallrath Meat Slicer for Nutrition Services, a Cordless Toco Transducer for the Family Birthing Center, new bedside curtains for the Emergency Department, and a new Patient Transport Chair for Volunteer Services/Patient Relations! All of these purchases are thanks to community members who support the Next Gen!!
What are we thankful for? All of you! The PVH Next Gen's very first Bras Across Petaluma campaign raised $7,226 to bring 3D Tomosynthesis Mammography to Petaluma Valley Hospital AND collected 458 bras for donation to women's shelters or resale at Sack's Hospice of Petaluma Thrift Store. This year, the PVH Next Gen Advisory Committee members approved a Blanket Warmer for the Mammography Unit, Transport Chairs, the Purple Cow Surgery Employee Recognition Pilot Program and a Grid Cassette for the Imaging Department. The PVH Next Gen Advisory Committee is selecting this year's equipment purchases at their annual holiday luncheon on December 2nd. This event features PVH staff presenting "wish list" items. Funding for these purchases are raised at Next Gen events held during the year, i.e., from the Petaluma community. Don't you just love this time of the year?!
