Dearest Cottage Gardeners! 🎃 It is PUMPKIN-PLANTING time! 🎃 If you want to carve out some fun this October, you need to get your pumpkin starts in the ground right about now. 🎃 It's so easy to grow your own Jack-O-Lanterns or pie pumpkins - simply amend your soil til it's nice and rich (Soil Booster is our go-to every time), popping a pinch of SureStart organic fertilizer in the planting hole at the same time, and plant! Oh yes - don't forget to protect from gophers if you've got those pesky critters roaming your veggie garden underworld. Line up some regular irrigation for your baby pumpkin plants, and then sit back and watch them grow. Can we talk about Yarrow? 🧡 Not only is it a fabulous addition to any sunny perennial border or habitat garden and makes a totally amazing cut flower fresh or dried, but it's also known for its healing properties and for magically warding off evil spirits and malevolent forces. Yes indeed! One of the oldest herbs, Yarrow has even been found among the belongings of a 65,000-year-old Neanderthal! 🧡 They're at their peak of loveliness right now - come on in and have a look!
