Pewaukee Youth Baseball

These two teams from our Summer League Program were able to play at the Wisconsin Brewery Company Park (home of the Lake Country Dockhounds) yesterday! This was an exhibition game between the Bulls and Emeralds in "AA". What an awesome opportunity for these teams!

Pewaukee Youth Baseball is looking forward to the 2nd Annual Eli Hansen Memorial Tournament hosting the A Division July 18th-19th and the AA Division July 20th-21st. Summer League AA teams will compete with teams from Lake Country Youth Baseball and Okauchee Youth Baseball in honor of Eli.

Eli Hansen was diagnosed with a childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma in 2016, when he was just four years old. He was in treatment for the majority of the next 6.5 years, which included lots of hospital stays, travel to multiple states in search of a cure, and many painful treatments. But through it all he enjoyed life as much as he could. Playing video games, playing with friends, and playing baseball brought him the biggest joy. He may not have been the tallest, strongest, or fastest kid, but he had a huge passion for the game of baseball and was a team leader. He had great knowledge of the game, was willing to put his all into every play, had a great swing, and always brought the enthusiasm, even when he didn’t feel good. After spending a long day at the clinic or even a week inpatient at the hospital, he would often amaze people by showing up to practice or a game, “straight outta chemo.” Eli played for PYB from 2019-2022 and was selected as an All-Star by his teammates last year. Eli inspired and touched many lives in his short time on earth, and hearts were broken when he passed away Dec 29, 2022 at the age of 10.

PYB chose to honor Eli by naming the Summer League (Rec) tournament “Eli Hansen Memorial Tournament” because he embodies what each PYB player and coach should strive to be.

The AA tournament will begin at 8:15am July 20th at the Pewaukee Sports Complex. The events kick off with the singing of the National Anthem and the ceremonial first pitch by the Hansen Family. Games will be played all day Saturday and Sunday with full concessions.

Reminder to come join us in the Pewaukee 4th of July Parade.

Meet in front of Pewaukee Lake Elementary no later than 2:30pm on July 4. Parade starts promptly at 3pm

The Parade route starts at PLE and ends Village Park. Parents of the players will be responsible for dropping their child off at PLE and picking their child up at Village Park at end of the parade

All players are encouraged to wear their team Jerseys and Hat.

Ken Weber Towing & Recovery has donated a flatbed truck for the parade for the kids to ride on. If we have more kids than can fit on the truck, the younger kids will have first right to ride on truck. All other kids will be required to walk.

If a participant wishes to distribute candy during the Parade route, the PLAYER NEEDS TO SUPPLY THEIR OWN CANDY TO DISTRIBUTE. Participants will need to bring their OWN WATER to drink during the event.

This week, the concession stand will be open today (Monday, July 1st) and tomorrow (July 2nd) from 5:30-8!

The PSC concession stand will be open Monday - Thursday from 5:30-8pm this week!

Registration is open for the 2025 Jr Pirate Tryouts! Tryouts will be held on Monday, July 22nd. Times and additional information can be found on the flyer.

It is highly preferred that your child attend the planned tryout date so that they can be evaluated alongside their peers. If you cannot make July 22nd, you must contact us immediately for an alternate date.

We just wanted to get the word out that the varsity Pirates are starting playoff action! It means a lot to the team when we come out and support them!!

Tonight, Wednesday, they host the Pius XI Popes in a WIAA regional semifinal at WCTC at 4:45 pm.

If they win, they will be back in action again at WCTC tomorrow evening in a regional championship game. First pitch for that game will also be 4:45 PM.

Any players that wear their PYB jersey tonight and tomorrow are welcome to take the field for the national anthem just like we do for PYB Night.

WIAA Playoff Admission is $6.

U14 Black took 2nd Place on Saturday at the Memorial Day weekend "One Day Wonder" Tournament in Janesville. One of their tournament wins included a NO HITTER!!!

This spring Pewaukee Youth Baseball was proud to partner with the Village of Pewaukee and Pewaukee Parks and Recreation, by providing a donation to the Village supporting the demolition and replacement of a new backstop and fencing at Kiwanis Village Park (Field #2). Also with the addition of 2 new LED scoreboards (Fields #1 & #2) along with the extensive electrical work needed to make this a reality.

Pewaukee U13 Black just won the Championship in the CMH Athletics Blast this weekend.
