This morning the Jenkintown VFW was joined by the Wyncote Boy Scouts and members of the Jenkintown Fire Department to place flags at Veterans graves at Forest Hills cemetery. 🇺🇸

Army Col. Ralph Puckett, Medal of Honor recipient and Ranger legend, dies at 97 Retired Army Col. Ralph Puckett, an Army Ranger who received the Medal of Honor for lifesaving heroics in the Korean War and the Distinguished Service Cross fighting in Vietnam, died Monday. He was 97.

FUNERAL PROCESSION FOR BATTALION CHIEF JOHN GARROW

The funeral procession for Battalion Chief (BC) John Garrow, Philadelphia Fire Dept. (PFD), will leave St. Cecilia's Church on Wed., Mar. 13th, at 1:15p.m. and be escorted by the PFD and Philadelphia Police Dept. north on Huntingdon Pk. through Rockledge.

Mr. Garrow was a longtime Fox Chase resident, a 32-year veteran of the PFD, a former combat engineer with the US Army, and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He died while on duty on Mon., Feb. 19th.

The Rockledge Fire Co., along with elected and appointed officials from the Borough of Rockledge, will be posted outside the Rockledge Firehouse to honor BC Garrow.

Rockledge police officers will be posted at Church Rd. & Huntingdon Pk. and N. Sylvania Ave. & Huntingdon Pk., and Abington police officers will be posted at Shady Ln. & Huntingdon Pk. to help with traffic and to pay respect to BC Garrow.

Please excuse any inconvenience or traffic delays.

All are welcome to come out and support the Garrow family and the PFD on this somber occasion by standing along Huntingdon Pk. until the funeral procession for BC Garrow passes through our community.
