It sure has been a crazy last few months. As most of you know, we consolidated our New Britain location into our Hatfield store. Back in 2015, when I was approached by a realtor to open a second location, I was hesitant, worrying it was too close to our Colmar location. Once I realized Hilary was available to run the store, I never had another second thought. We opened in July of 2016. Business was great. We offered daycare, boarding, grooming and of course had the retail store. We had adoptable dogs and a community cat room. Life was good.
Until, covid. And, of course, Hilary’s husband was relocated to New Jersey. We were just never able to recover. I struggled finding the right manager to come in and run the store. Sales were down. Our little small business was hit not only by covid, but by online shopping, even though our prices were lower and we had a loyalty program that the big guys don’t offer.
Fast forward to a conversation with the owners of Cool Dog Gear in Warrington. They were looking for a second location and our NB space seemed to be the perfect fit!

We have exciting news to share. Cool Dog Gear is officially opening a second store location in New Britain, PA! On January 13th our second location located at 406 Town Center, New Britain, PA will be open to the public. In addition to the services you’ve already come to know and love at our Warrington location, DogVenture New Britain will also provide grooming, self-grooming stations as well as host in-door meet and greet events with local shelters and rescues.
Stay tuned for more information on a grand opening celebration you won’t want to miss!

Our NB groomer, Amanda, is staying on with DogVenture and they are keeping our same phone number so please continue to use her for your pups cuts!

Dog Town in Hatfield is ready to serve any of our NB customers. We share the same Loyalty Program so if we’ve been supplying your dogs food, come on by! Small business in our country is suffering. Please try to keep your hard earned money in our local community opposed to giving it to the bazillionaires that don’t support your kids sports team or school. Also, please keep in mind that the sales in our store helps to fund our Dog Town Rescue’s Adoption Center. Without your purchases, we couldn’t offer free space to our fosters looking for their forever homes.

Over the last couple of years, my energy has been split into providing that experience at TWO locations, and the time has come to make sure I am giving you the best of me and what Dog Town has to offer.

This decision ensures that I can deliver all that and more to you and comes with a few things to keep in mind (because Hatfield is just 4 MILES down the road, I'll still be seeing you, New Britain customers!)

♻️Our Hatfield location shares the same system as New Britain, so all your information, including your Loyalty Program points, lives there! You can still shop for the same products, earn points, and expect the same service and affordable prices.

🐶All Dog Town Rescue adopters from our New Britain location can still redeem their adopter discounts at our Hatfield location (including retail items, boarding, and daycare.)
