This week was a week of ‘lining’ up our team for success by exploring the topic of lining! With two incredible Lunch and Learns and the opportunity to observe a lining project in person, our team had an amazing time expanding our skillset and gaining very valuable industry knowledge.
We’re so excited to have the opportunity to be able to learn from and connect with industry professionals. Today marked a milestone for the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia with the groundbreaking of Frankford House, an affordable assisted living facility designed to serve the senior community.
Inspired by Ted Wasserman’s mission and commitment to the community, Rodriguez Consulting served as the lead Land Surveyor and Civil Engineer on this project and was responsible for the preparation of the existing conditions, lot line relocation, zoning plans, and site work construction plans for this transformative development.
We are thrilled to have been with this project from the start and are so proud of Ted and his team for their dedication to the betterment of our community. Additionally, we are proud of our amazing project engineer, , for his commitment to this important plan, playing a pivotal role in helping this project cross the finish line.

Yesterday was an incredible day for our team as announced that , in partnership with , was a recipient of the Workforce Solutions Grant. As mentioned in article (link in bio), the grant is designed to connect groups by providing resources to nonprofits that offer training and workforce opportunities.
This significant contribution to our programs will help pave the way for our workforce development program to welcome more students and expand technologically. We are thrilled to receive this support from the city and and cannot wait to utilize this contribution to further give back to our community by providing opportunities for underprivileged young adults to find career pathways in understaffed, high-demand positions.
Special thanks to our wonderful alumna, Trenay Dantzler, for sharing her testimony yesterday and for representing Rodriguez University every day both inside and outside of our classroom. Trenay is an Engineering Aide I and the President of the Apprentice Employee Resource Group at Philadelphia Water Department, making amazing strides to continue to expand her career and make a difference in Philadelphia. We could not be more proud of the hard work she has exemplified both at Rodriguez University and after graduation.
Another special thanks to Team (specifically , , , Elvis Achu, and .griffin) for showing up yesterday to support our program and believing in this cause with us! Rodriguez University a division of Rodriguez, a minority-owned civil engineering company, based in South Kensington.

Today was the start of the newest cohort. We are beyond excited to train a new group of eager young professionals and guide them through the beginning stages of their career paths in the field of infrastructure!
Over the next 14 weeks, our new cohort will immerse themselves in the world of infrastructure, covering everything from civil engineering to land surveying. Through the program, our goal is to equip our students with the skills needed for successful careers in this vital sector.
While this is just the start of the program, we will be sure to update you all throughout this journey!
Over the past 15 years the team at Rodriguez has surveyed, designed, and inspected many pipes of concrete pipe, especially in our hometown of Philadelphia. Here's to Concrete Pipe Week 2022!

Rodriguez University is proud to honor Cashmir Woodward for being promoted to Engineering Aide I with the Philadelphia Water Dept. (PWD). Cashmir completed Rodriguez University’s “Intro to Infrastructure” Program in the Summer of 2020. “Intro to Infrastructure” is a workforce development program developed in partnership with PowerCorps PHL and Hopeworks Camden . The program focuses on providing technical skills and knowledge centered on entry-level jobs in the water infrastructure industry that may not necessarily require a college degree. Additionally, the program offers life/leadership skills and features keynote speakers and networking opportunities that help young engineers establish themselves in the industry.
Prior to her promotion to Engineering Aide I, Cashmir was originally hired by PWD as a Community Apprentice in January 2021 and assigned to the PWD Survey Unit. She was subsequently promoted to the Civil Service title of Engineering Aide Trainee in Q3 2021.
