Today makes 2 years since the birthing of Redeemed for a Cause Outreach. This year is special as we have seen Gods hand cover and favor this nonprofit organization. We were blessed to open up our own drop-in center without any city funding but simply off of the support of many individual donors, churches and supporters of the organization. We also were able to start a teen prevention program at many local high schools in Philly to help decrease the chances many of them becoming future victims. Additionally, we’ve had the opportunity to train police officers, churches, drug and alcohol facilities, etc on how to look for the victims of Human Trafficking and help them. We’ve hosted a pleather of trainings and all of our team is trauma-informed and narcan trained! Also we’ve served over 500+ women and given out over 1000+care packages just this year alone! Happy 1st outreach birthday to a vision that started as a blog in college years ago. When I consider where I was when I started Redeemed for a Cause Outreach; I myself was lost,broken, abandoned, rejected and misunderstood. I have used my story to reach out and serve the Humantrafficking population selflessly; to see God orchestrate every event and outreach brings my heart so much joy. Additionally, outreach has grown into a movement of serving the entire West Philly community; we have committed to helping those in need. From the clothing drives, to the Thanksgiving and Christmas feedings, to Valentines Day, Random Acts of Kindness, wellness fairs and many more things that have went unmentioned I say cheers to such an amazing mission being fulfilled !I'm grateful for every volunteer, donor, supporter and team member who have stood beside me in serving the community. The sky is the limit for this organization and many more exciting things on the horizon ❤ #JustWaitOnIt#Redeemed#Serving
God truly blessed Redeemed for a Cause Outreach on our first annual clothing drive. So many women were able to get clothes, shoes, hats, scarves, and gloves to help keep them warm during the fall and winter months. It was wonderful seeing so many new faces and even some familiar ones. The women were so grateful and were smiling from ear to ear as they walked away with their items. Thank you to all the helping hands that made this possible, from those who donated to the volunteers who came out today to help make this event successful.
