Even 'Hopper' wants to Come Home to Lindy!

On February 9th, residents of Stone Creek Point were in for a surprise when they spotted a kangaroo hopping around the pool area! Our local heroes from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Agriculture Unit sprang into action to ensure, 'Hopper' the roo, didn't make a splashy escape!

Fiesta Schoolyards is making recess great again!

This amazing nonprofit is transforming schoolyards in Philadelphia into dynamic play areas, giving kids the chance to make new memories and have fun. They've already completed 25% of their goal of renovating 100 schoolyards in 10 years.

There was food, music, speeches, and student entertainment. Fiesta Schoolyards is an initiative of the Lindy Foundation that’s dedicated to transforming barren, empty schoolyards into colorful and fun playing and learning spaces for students. At no cost to the schools at all!

In July 2022, residents of Lindy Communities generously donated $118 to Fiesta Schoolyards, and the amount was doubled by the Lindy Foundation to $236. So far, Lindy residents have generously donated $4,123 to Fiesta Schoolyards, doubled by the Lindy Foundation to $8,246!

They were just granted site licenses for 8 schools this summer; 4 in North Philadelphia and 4 in West Philadelphia.
